Just wondering. I Currently have 2x27 inch Dell monitors (2650x1440) arranged next to each other. With 4 columns (left and right for each monitor) for work. Using the Windows + arrow key, I can attach each window nicely to the sides. Example:
1. PDF
2. PPT
3. Browser
4. File system

Is there a monitor that can replicate the same setup with at least the same screen real estate?

Meaning you need at last 5k wide horizontal pixel?
*
i think so

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Mar 15 2018, 11:25 AM)
Hahaha, wasnt sure will get enough interest or not, also need to use it first before can recommend to other.
IIRC, 34" ultrawide and 27" display panel height are same ( or very similar ), but you do have lesser horizontal estate on 34", maybe a 34" + 27" side by side  biggrin.gif

I see. Nothing yet then. ok.

I have 2 x 27" dell uhd 1440p monitor. If I change to one wide-screen moni8, will I see the benefits? Aside from no bezel in the centre. I use the different monitors to snap windows into place

Movie experience  biggrin.gif  Cinema movies are in 21:9 which is most ultrawide's display ratio.
Gaming experience also different, racing and FPS in ultrawide is just so nice.

I see. Forgot to mention that those are the monitors I use for work in my office. Good benefits, but not needed for my work.

Depending on your work, if your work require a lot of horizontal estate (ie, video editing, excel sheet, etc) then UltraWide will greatly benefits. However, if otherwise, like coding or multitasking, which requires more vertical screen estate, then multi monitors might be better. Multi-monitor provides better windows managements, you can do full screen apps in two monitors. You can do it in Ultrawide also, but may requires some third-party software and a little bit of learning curve. But once you go UltraWide, you can't go back.

I see. Maybe after my monitor becomes damaged, then I will update. I need the the UHD color calibration as well. Don't need high refresh rate.

Hi all,

Need feedback. I use 2x27" dell UHD monitors at work + 24" 1090p monitor if needed. Now, since this MCO, I've been told that I cannot go to the office. Only when necessary.

Tak tahan buat kerja on 13" laptop Asus and a new dell g3. What is the cheapest option of replicating this setup. I just need a a computer to drive the monitors. My work pc has gtx 770 and 780. I need equivalent performance. I just got a dell g3 laptop which I can hook it up. It comes with a gtx 1650.

I am not sure if I should invest in a uhd monitor or not. I have a spare 24" monitor at home. I guess I can make do with that for dual screen setup.

What is the cheapest ultrawide 1440p monitor?

Not sure fit your usage or not. Largely depends on space of your table also. 40" TV are cheap alternative, for price/size ratio  tongue.gif

I do support buy ultrawide monitor la, I love how useful it is for those multi tasking type. Whilst I type this, I got youtube playing side-by-side. The contrast and sharpness etc, are suitable for computer. TV usually not design for close distance viewing.

OK for word, excel? Still need to use those office software

Can I know how many vertical windows/word document/browser you can open with ultrawide? Can do work on it. I have 2x dell uhd 1440p 17" monitors and it gives me 4 workable windows snapping at each side

Around 3x for 3440x1440 Ultrawide.

This is depends on how big you want to open. I would said up to 3 is the nice size. Ultrawide is around 1.5x of Wide.
*
Ok. It thought so looking at the resolution. The only way I can get same resolution is using that expensive Samsung ultrawide which has the same as both. 5120x1440p

That one is Super Ultrawide, in ratio 32:9 and you are correct. But that one look freaking long and feel small even it is 49”.

I am doing work on 2x27" with 4 vertical windows open side to side. Unless the pixel size in the Samsung is big (making the monitor huge), It is not that bad actually.

Go check first that 49” then you will know what i mean. It looks like 2 units of 24” instead of 2 units of 27”.

Actually you can use PowerToys FancyZones to split screen as many as you like, someone at this forum introduce me this great tools, it is the best split screen apps, far better than any did by manufacturer.

My current setup.

I have another 1080p monitor which I use on the side if I need more screen space.

If the samsung is more like 24", then I'm not into it.

I just check the dimension Height, the 49” is closer to 2x 27” but maybe due to it is too curve and too long, it looks like 2x 24”.

My mistake on this, sorry.

wow. What model is that? Same like the one on LTT video?

I am more interested in color accuracy and resolution. Not using this for gaming but for work.

Nice monitor. Will wait until the dell dies then I will get a new one. Maybe prices will be cheap by then

Can someone recommend me a monitor with good color accuracy and high resolution? Need monitor for work. Found out that the LG 29wk600 is OK but lacking vertical pixel resolution. Also does not fit well with my dell 27" 1440p monitor since its too wide and not curve. The LG works for single use but not for multiple monitor setup.

If you're doing graphic intensive work... a flat monitor would be better... otherwise it''ll be wonky as you cannot judge straight lines...

ultra-wide (3440x1440, 21:9) has the same pixel pitch... & same physical height as your Dell..... VA panels will be curved (<<< if you don't need it for straight lines)... IPS panels will be flat.

3&4 are two 34"@3440x1440 and 2 is a 27"@2560x1440... physically as shown too...

What is monitor 1?

Is this your setup? How do you view everything? I have assumed it is in a parabolic configuration.
