I'm planning to get one 34" curved ultrawide for normal usage and work.

Wondering if there's any difficulty in getting used to curved monitor, transitioning from flat 24" monitor.

i transitioned from a flat 24" to a 34" uw, so far i have no problem with adapting to it. i think it took me about 1week or so to get used to it
I'm in software engineering field, so this uw actually benefited me a lot on working and i enjoy it a lot with much lesser alt tab

gaming wise, with the larger FOV, is definitely a visual upgrade and your eyes likely will love it

Unless your work requires you to draw a lot of straight lines like CAD which may be an issue with using curve display.
Otherwise I think you'll get used to it very fast.
