QUOTE(Someonesim @ Apr 26 2017, 02:35 PM) Initially said Q2 2017 but some source said delayed indefinitely. Just get X34A as long you're getting the revision version 'A'. revision A fixed the bleed issue as well?X34A solved some old issue ( no swivel stand, bad QC ) but some issue remain ( bad OSD menu ) |

QUOTE(youngy @ May 3 2017, 09:12 AM) Sometimes price does play a factor that makes someone fussy about something. The monitor price ain't cheap. Paying a premium price and hopefully you won't encounter this type of problems. true...the price Maybe because I did a lot of researched before deciding to made a purchased. I know what I have to deal with. by the way, anyone of you using wall mount for your x34? |

QUOTE(Someonesim @ May 3 2017, 10:00 AM) True, that price can get 4 good FHD monitor already. Same, I did research ( actually research and hesitate for many many months ) so I know that we're paying for niche product. forgot to mention, have you guys try to push the panel side with the bleed/glow?Also, I'm happier because the time I bought, X34A just released and I was surprised to get a X34A instead of X34 i tried pressing the panel firmly and the bleed/glow gone,i let go and its blee/glow again haha. |

QUOTE(Someonesim @ May 3 2017, 02:03 PM) I bought a TV mount ( cheap but can hold 20kg ), can't use at all because X34 panel are too protruding and will fall face down. So yeah have to get real monitor mount/arm. the one comes with x34 one is the bracket only right?Wall mount don't think have any issue at all. |

QUOTE(Someonesim @ May 3 2017, 02:44 PM) Not sure what you mean, but any mount ( wall / stand ) should fit. If I recall correctly, Acer have extra stuff for the external mount. i saw theres a box in the package. i think its the bracket to replace the stand and use to mount on wall, but i din unpack it. let me double check tonight.I use the 100x100 one. |

QUOTE(hayrol @ May 3 2017, 07:43 PM) Her some sample of backlight bleed test taken from my X34A Predator monitor. thanks for the photos, yours look great! The photo taken with Nikon D7000 with manual preset, with additional tool- Sekonic L-478D Lightmeter. Camera setting: Shutter- 1/13s Aperture - f6.3 ISO - 500 White Balance - 4760K 2 preset monitor I were use in this test - Manual & Standard (Factory preset) (Manual Preset for my monitor) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Lights ON A. Monitor picture preset - Manual (Almost unnoticeable with manual preset I put) [attachmentid=8782608] Lights OFF A. Monitor picture preset - Standard (Factory preset) - Notes: IPS glow more noticeable at corner of monitor) [attachmentid=8782617] B. Monitor picture preset - Manual [attachmentid=8782611][attachmentid=8782613] Color sharpness A. Monitor picture preset - Standard (Factory preset) [attachmentid=8782618] B. Monitor picture preset - Manual [attachmentid=8782619] ======================================================================================= There is a few way to decrease the IPS glow on our monitor. Some easiest way like: 1/ Do manual preset to ur monitor, especially if u looking for color collaboration or the best monitor picture setting (U can find them in internet, there a lots of it) 2/ Readjust ur monitor high or angle or ur chair - till it suitable to ur view & less IPS Glow Since I'm doing a lots of sketch, picture editing & heavy rendering, I always put my monitor in manual preset which comfortable to me. **Credit to ExKurogane for the 4K wallpaper picture.
