I think I can finally settle down with my current Ultrawide purchase and I'm super stoked about it. I've been using a 24" 16:10 Ultrasharp monitor with my Dell Precision workstation for the last 8 years and decided for an upgrade to a bigger one when I had a new laptop.
So I went from this sad but trusty screen:

To a 34" UW, which I loved but I felt it wasn't immersive and big enough. After a few weeks I decided to return it and there were some backlight bleed which became a little bit distracting. Also the navigation buttons were doing my head in after awhile; a joystick is a much quicker solution.

And finally to a 49" SuperUW. This is the current model with a 55 lower wattage and I've not experienced any issues past owners had. I was pretty nervous ordering it and not knowing what to expect.
I guess Samsung has ironed out the kinks on the later models. AFAIK it has a newer board too. So far so good, no dead pixels, no flickering, no scanline weirdness and backlight bleed is exceptionally minimal in comparison to the 34". The laptop RTX3070 handles it like a champ at 240hz Gsync enabled.
I've decided not to wait for the Neo G9 as I'm not fussed about the improved HDR, furthermore I would think it'll be too expensive to start with.
I have no idea where to store this huge box.

I absolutely love it! It's just the right size to fill up my peripheral vision and ample of horizon space for my work especially when it comes to character rigging.

StarWars Squadron is immense on this whilst paired with a couple of Philips Hue lights.

HDR on Forza Horizon and CyberPunk is equally breathtaking. TBH despite having only 10 zones of FALD, it's hardly noticable when gaming except during load screens.

The back is pretty cool but is only effective when looking directly at it or in a dimly lit room
