hey guys.
i'm planning to join the UWMR and thinking of getting the Acer 34" UW.
it will be powered by my laptop Lenovo Legion Y530-15ICH (i7-8750H, GTX1050).
i'm using the laptop for everything (work, leisure, gaming) as portability is important.

i most probably will buy the lower tier one CB342CK, not the XV340CKP.
thinking the GTX 1050 is lemah to power the higher-spec monitor.

mostly for work (word, powerpoint, excel), watching movies, light video editing, and casual gaming (GTA, FM, PES, MotoGP).

it will be connected via HDMI/miniDP.
and maybe later, i'll go for USB-C dongle to minimize cable.
the dongle will have ports like HDMI, DP, USBs, AV.
laptop screen will be closed when connecting to the monitor.

what do u guys think?

Just to share, I've own LG34uc79g for a while now but never bother to tweak the colors.. until now, following the guide below which is kind of revolutionary!!

That's true. But the VA on that xiaomi looks really good haha.

better go for north bayou f100a, i currently using f80a, it was able to hold up my acer x34p, but it will tilt to front after some time using, then i need to manual adjust it straight back.

im actually finding hard for xiaomi 34" ultrawide reviews.. they are very limited. One thing bothering me the most is that it is not IPS... since I am doing some photography and visual works. I know VA is not the most ideal for such kind of work, but i thought the technology has improved over the years and all the high-end gaming monitor actually using VA, such as the samsung g9.

Listening to your comment on how the color shift when viewing at an angle does prevent me from continue considering this monitor.. I guess I will have to stuck with 27" for now...

People are expecting too much from a 1.3k monitor...
