Quite a good game, especially for an RPG freak like me whom has been starving for RPGs on the DS.

My 0.02 Ringit Malaysia :

Pros :
- Interesting battle system
- Good use of both screens
- Save anywhere baybeh!
- Interesting story (well, doesn't stray much from the "saving the world" theme but I'm desperate)

Cons :
- almost entirely touch screen controls (buttons used only for mundane stuff and can be left untouched)
- Character graphic style seems strange to many

i think this is when the hori stand comes in handy.

hori makes a stand. that would be useful for trauma center it think.

Its out but its not out here in malaysia.

My 2 cent : The gameplay is interersting, it all focuses on magic. The sign of the star and the element involved. Very intersting. Storyline? What else, you are a kid, you are hero, you cant listen to adult and you go off to save the world
Stylus based game, everything is stylus which makes it a bit tedious sometime as you need to hold your ds on one hand and stylus in another.
Sprain ankle anyone?
The graphic is not strange, the graphic is not up to par. Its not colourful, its a bit dull looking, and i hate the battle scene where you zoom in onto the enemy everytime you cast a magic or hit them.

Its a decent RPG, for those desperate for one this will be god send, for me though, i will keep my 130 ringgit for FF series.

The stand is not worth it for me coz i play it on the go most of the time or lying down on the bed.

yo the stand is now USD8.90 (~RM33.03) and since you got the coupon disoucnt of USD5 so minus liao is USD3.90 (~RM14.60) wah sounds good leh... might really consider liao.. if not get the cleaner... USD9.90 - USD5 = USD4.9 (RM18.50) got the cheaper one also which is going for USD4 something.. which means free liao.. hehe...

Ive played 11 Hours through the game..but I think the battle can get repetitive since we like learn new spells only after each 10-13 levels..so im like doing the same spells over & over again..

rpg is like that one but that is also the fun part that i like about rpg. levelling up and c ur characters grow stronger, have a sense of archievement i would say.

damn... who wants my USD5 voucher.. i sell.. hehe..

Magical Starsign has a great visual look, inspired from classic 2D RPG’s. The animated sequences are a much appreciated addition..

Another major hook in the game is the surprisingly deep multiplayer, which lets players team up with friends and take on dungeons together. The multiplayer works like a RPG version of Mario Party, as it's every man for themselves on the global level, but the group has to work as a team to clear dungeons out and spawn more treasures for the entire group. The game could have used a bit more direct teamwork though, as it still feels like you're running solo in a dungeon that just so happens to have other players in it. Even still, it's a solid mode, allowing you to select and power-up any of your playable characters, earn new items and experience for the main game, and enjoy a little healthy competition.

Also included in the games multiplayer "amigo" mode is the ability to link up with friends and raise new creatures from eggs. These creatures only gain experience from "Tag Mode", which is a quick stat-swapping program that takes each player's position in the game and applies it to experience and items for their friends. The more people you tag with, the more experience your special characters will gain for the one player mode. Not a necessary an essential part of the game, but definitely one of the many ways to add replay value to an already entertaining RPG.

tales series battle is like that la.

The two GBA summon night also lidat. But to answer vincent09's question, yes battle in Magical Starsign is turn based ("ff that kind step by step attack like that")

i can't tahan when play ff type game at midnight, sure will falling in sleep.... ( the ndsl still turn on and call me select attack XD ).
