I stay in Serangoon North and work here as well. I walk to work and have my meal about this area. So my expenses is quite low.

Working hour is 8.30 - 6.00 everyday and is allow to have flexible start time ( as long as is not too late )

Rental : $400
Food : $300 ( no special, just eat in company canteen and food court )
Breakfast : $2
Lunch : $3 - $4
Dinner : $3 - $4
Internet + Cellphone : $100 ( vary )
Misc : $200 ( for back up )

I have salary range like u guys...so can save quite much as well. Too bad is a contract job for 1 yr. Don't know how long I can last in singapore. If not it is quite good for a long term.
