3. You can buy a Singapore car, but you will also need to convert your license to Singapore license for you to drive, since you are not there as a tourist but working. Driving the car to Malaysia is not a problem. But Singapore cars are more expensive than in Malaysia (due to COE, roadtax and insurance), and mostly unnecessary as public transport in Singapore is quite convenient. If you stay in Johor Bahru and intend to drive out to work everyday, then it is more worthwhile to buy a Singapore car, since Malaysia cars driving to Singapore during working hours get a heavy toll fee (I think S$20 per entry). You will also need to maintain your gas tank 3/4 full when driving Singapore cars out to Malaysia.

hi,

if you are a non-PR holder, i doubt you could buy a Singapore car.

since the work place is at science park (not ang mo kio, woodlands or city), i would suggest you to rent a room near ur work place. you would spend 2-4 hrs in traveling btw jb and ur office by bus or train. alternatively, u could buy a bike, the traveling time would be much lesser, but it is quite risky to ride in singapore also.

hi, to be honest to you. A web developer won't earn so much. the reason is because web programming is not a tough programming and we don't need an uni degree holder to do it. a poly student with good experience could do a good job. If u are studying computer science, u may focus ur area at .Net/Java, etc. If u are studying computer engineering, you may focus on embedded software. those fields required expertise skills.
