Sorry if I ask the same questions again on the previous post. Is the year end Jan 09 or Dec 08 the end for filing tax for the year of 2008? If one to start work on July 07 (assuming) so that will be 6 months of working period from July 07-Dec 07, and we fall under the bracket of of 15% flat, am I right?

Possible, if you have the skillset that others may not have. If you are just a common, let's say IT engineer, yes the pay will be lower than what you earn in MY, simply because if they match your pay $ to $, they might as well get a singaporean to do the job. But, if you have nothing to lose, go for it, try out for like 1 year, if you don't like it you still can come back here to look for a job.

I mean it's all about the mindset. Nothing is impossible. wink.gif

Looks like more and more are running to SG since everything here is going up soon.

This is correct. Unless the agent tells you that you will be hired under the client directly, you are usually under the agent's company, the salary are usually lower.

I am hired under the client, the agent is just a type of middleman.

but i am going to ask for higher price on what they negotiated. There is no harm right.

Yes, the higher your salary, the more commission they have smile.gif If you are over the limit, the agent should know as the client has given them a range of salary to hire. Good luck friend. wink.gif

i m wondering what is really going on between the hiring company and the agent. It has already passed 7 days since the hiring company agree to hire me.

A bit worried, does it take so long to prepare a contract and offer?

If you are worried, give the agent a call. I am sure you have the phone number. Usually they need more than 10 working days to prepare your employment pass, especially when you have never worked in SG before. That is assumed that they really need you.
