Let say:

Room rental: 500
Transport: 150
Food: 600
Entertainment: 250

Total Expenses: 1500

So, anything above 1500 is saving? Let say I earn 5000 net of tax, therefore I can save 3500 every month?

Is 1500 expenses sufficient for a normal living life? (dun talk abt saving kau kau like eat bread everyday la and not spend too much like eat steak everytime)

Dude, did you read his words properly ?
That guy earn $5,000 per month. If he can't make any saving in singapore, A lots people already die of hunger over there.....
*
yea.
thanks nameless...
i was juz wondering whether can I survive in Singapore (moderately spending of 1500)?
No need to care abt my earning first. I juz need to know is 1500 expenses enough for a moderate guy that cant eat bread everyday and wont eat steak everynite too...

I do not wan a life where i use 1500 expenses a month but have no life. get wat i means? smile.gif
i wan to have a life and at the same time save... so i am estimating 1500 for expenses per month and i'm askin whether that is enuf to get a life in singapore and not everyday eat, work and go home sleep...

can la if u earn 5k a month, no problem. Last year, I say anything below 3.5k is not worth going there for. Last year when i was there, my room rental was SGD450. Now the same location oredi raise up to SGD1k.....with SGD500, u gotto stay sumwer far away from work, unless your workplace is not in the city. So this year due to rental, anything above SGD4k will be good, or if u r from johor, y not.

in SG, SGD50 can last u a week of food (for me as a gal, maybe guy SGD100 la...and i am a big eater, no starving only on bread) everything dem cheap except for rental. Their food, big portion, FRESH and YUmmy......dollar to dollar everythign is cut in half, sometimes moer than half..wat else can u ask for.

Btw, r u goin thru an agency?
*
yeap... thru agency... nod.gif
now waitin for the final salary negotiation and all the financial stuff cleared...

wow... SGD1k for a room? that's very expensive... very!
wondering SGD500 can get a round somewhere around bedok? not that far from city and yet not that near also... hmm.gif
