Yes, both mode will have different device id. So, if u changed from optimus to dgpu or vice versa, you'll need to reinstall driver with modded inf which based on current device id.

tbh, turning v-sync on (limiting the fps to 60) eliminates throttling all together. that brings the max gpu temperature down to below 70c in my case. i just wanna find out if there is a way to do it right without turning it on.

print out only, papers easier to look at instead of tablets or phone.

I didn't have it. But base on what I read online. Yes, you can get significant performance during gaming. If you use GTX 980 or Titan X with graphics amplifier.

The PCIE 4.0 interface is a 3rd generation. The performance lost of using GTX 980 during testing is about 5%

Of course If you only play Minesweeper you won't see any improvement.
