Obviously no impact. hdd and ram doesnt run the game. Those only will improve on your launching and not running. Basically, the playing experience will be the same as now. Limiting factor is the cpu and gpu

Can only enjoy so so graphics on AAA games cuz im on 1060 only. Hahah

Hi everyone, I hope someone can support me. At my wits end now.

I own an AW R1 and it seems i might have some problem with my motherboard because previously temp was as high as 100c. I sent my AW to do cleaning and it was filled with dust. After cleaning now is cooler at about 60c-80c but still could not run some games properly even after reset

Dell support suggested i change the motherboard, heatsink and fans..but since end of service life they no longer have the parts.

Can someone advise where can I go to get the parts or places which provide services for Alienware parts. I also intend to upgrade my GPU if possible.

They took a lot of hit (in performance) patches after patches since Spectre and Meltdown, and then there were a few more? As much as people want to deny it, its true.

i9 alienware laptop?why fail?any information about this?

Looking at how efficient the new AMD 4900HS mobile CPU is, and how it beat Intel i9, I wouldn't recommend high end i9 to most people.

I ordered mine this week, and now have to wait 5 weeks for it. i9, 3080, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD, QHD screen. I plan to replace the 512GB SSD with two 2TB Samsung 980 Pro (already ordered). Will pair it with Anker TB4 dock for a triple 4K monitor setup (arriving early Oct).

On another note, any recommendations on where I can get replacement battery for the 13 R3 laptop? My battery is dead after 3.5 years and I need to replace it. Can't seem to find it online locally and ebay sellers won't deliver to Malaysia.

anyone upgrade the R12 RAM? stock from Hyper X DDR4 but the model unit a bit different from official Kingston product. is it full compatible with Hyper X we purchase outside Dell? I read somewhere R12 mobo kind of picky on RAM compatibility

I need a pretty good laptop to run my financial softwares on my pc for heavy usage, thus was considering in getting an Alienware X14 gaming laptop. Never owned any dell products before and after googling up about reviews, i have come across of complains such as the laptop getting overheated, screening going blank (and Dell isn't honouring warranties).
