I'll be going to use clockgen to overclock my com..but clockgen can't detect the PLL on my mobo..so i must manually select the PLL model...
The problem is i can't find out the model number coz i don't know exactly where this chip is located on my motherboard cry.gif

Any of you oc pros can help me with this? and please give me some tips on using clockgen.(will have to use software coz my mobo is locked) This will be my first time oveclocking my com.

D PLL chip is a chip 'bout 1" x 0.5cm while many small legs along d body length-wise. Sometimes, on a motherboard, they maybe more >1 PLL & some other ICs while resemble it too!. Usually there's a crystal (a oblong, pill shape liked metal like component 'bout 1cm by 0.2mm) accompanying it. icon_idea.gif Refer d attached diagram.

Thanks...

i had a brief look into my casing but i could only make out the first 8 letters of the number CY____....even with 2 led fans and my handphone as an extra light source sad.gif ...now im off to look for a flashlight..

I have another question...how do i lock the agp/pci clock speeds so when i increase the fsb, they won't increase as well?

Diz depends mostly on d chipset & d PLL chip as how it's implemented by its manufacturer. Some chipset doesn't like/support asynchronous speed btw. it's buses while some have a non-functional lock notably d VIA PT800 series for P4 & VIA K8T800 series for Athlon64.

In such case d AGP/PCI bus/clock speed increase proportionately wif d FSB eg. if u o/c yr FSB from 200->220 then yr AGP/PCI would be then 66/33 -> ~72/36 respectively. doh.gif

However, if yr motherboard has d AGP/PCI frequency setting, u may peg it @ 66/33. Some boards, even they dun shows may auto lock d AGP/PCI freq. quietly as long as d chipset & d PLL supports it! tongue.gif
