Hi guys, i want to ask does M5 has this auto screen on/off feature?
when you flip the cover open and the phone auto unlock
and goes to home screen for you and you no need to swipe to unlock it.
(i put swipe unlock though not password and pattern)

This is because somehow when i flip open and feel that the battery drain faster eventhough
i set stamina mode on with extended usage. Feel like the phone is never on standby/sleep mode sweat.gif

edit, poke raymondtong94 do you have encounter this problem hmm.gif

i google and and found this but not sure about it hmm.gif

I did saw smart cover listed as one of the features in a flip case. But why would this be a problem? You only flip open the cover when you want to use the phone right? It shouldn't contribute to anymore battey drain because you would have unlocked it anyway?

As for battery I am currently doing some testing. It seems that with enough features turned off. The phone might really go 2 days. I managed to get more than 50% before I go to bed. With around 1.5 hours screen on time. Will report further here once I have finished my testing.

I see, because i thought the phone never goes into sleep/standby mode which drain the battery faster.
Yesterday 10pm i went to sleep and the battery still have 42%.
i set stamina mode with extended usage on and today wake
up the battery left 2% hmm.gif

It shouldn't. It is just a magnet that should only wake up your phone when it is opened or closed. Loosing 40% at night is a bit bad. Few things that you can try to get better battery:
Turn off Google now
Turn off location history
Uninstall Google fit
Uninstall Facebook/messenger and use the web version
Disable account auto sync.

The thing i bold it pretty much disable at the first place.
I thought Facebook only drain battery when you connect to wifi / on mobile data hmm.gif
also the brightness do you enable Adaptive brightness or disable it?
currently i disable and set the brightness level to the mininum and see how it goes.

Check your battery usage under Power management. See which app is draining the battery. It takes just one misbehaving app to drain your battery.

Screen with 32% while other like android os etc below 8% hmm.gif
i had set the brightness to minimum though.

It would be preferable if you monitor the battery the next day.
I can't think whether it's between user or phone's fault.

Now i testing with flip cover open and see tomorrow left what % sweat.gif

Confused here. What's the battery % left now after 3.5 hours of screen on time?
*
battery is 30% now as i had browse the internet / play games before.
now i try again tomorrow see how much % left this time with flip cover open.
this is because when i close the flip cover i suspect the phone never goes
to standby/sleep mode sweat.gif

Edit: So this time my battery left 28% sweat.gif today i going
to test again to see whether if i let the flip cover close really drain the battery and
sometime the phone not going into standby mode / sleep mode compare
to flip cover open sweat.gif

I bought mine from Sony Center the curve. I sent my phone back there, but they just helped to send it to IXUN at Plaza Berjaya. So it is more convenient to send it to Sony Center coz it opens on weekends, just that it will take longer.

Not sure about Sony Authorized Service Center.

I just went to authorized service center and they told me they will send to KL branch for repair lol
then they told me the sony center which i bought my m5 from also has a service center there
so i went back again and now i hope the problem will be solved
