thankzor guys.

I don't like the G7 because the intake is too restrictive. I plan to install 2x120mm Panaflos on 5V, and then a passive heatsink. Total of 3 fans (including PSU) in that case smile.gif

IMHO the 007s main weakness is the vibrations of the HDD cage.. it can really vibrate alot... but it can also be easily solved for cheap.

SOLUTION PLEASE MASTER!!

check out Doom's solution from HERE
its also exactly the same thing i did. only flaw with this solution is that the bottom HDD cage cant be used coz cant fit... i also put the black round thingy on my case feet... now theres no vibration that can be heard..only thing coming from my PC is the whoosh of the fans.
*
hey thanks!!

I think the vibration problem can be solved. My only concern now is the clearance for a 38mm thick Panaflo.

Added on March 26, 2007, 6:46 pmlol guys, i just saw the new PC60B Plus II with 2x120mm fans (intake and exhaust) with a removable motherboard tray. All It/ATE is selling this unit?

are u sure the PC-60 Plus II got 2x120mm fan (intake/exhaust) blink.gif just check with their web site, only front & side fan are 120mm, the rear still 80mm fan sweat.gif

yeah, on second thoughts, although the motherboard tray = tempting, the 80mm exhaust just plain sucks. I cant possibly run passive CPU heatsinks!!

I might just well end up with a PC-007. What's the difference between PC-007 and PC-7 Plus II anyway?

EDIT: tersalah quote pictars.

just got my PC007B (it was somehow named PC7B+) from ATE.

Apparently, those jokers at the distributor screwed up my order. They gave me a side panel with crystal clear acrylic O_O.

EDIT: It's not clear acrylic, somehow the left side panel is equipped with a huge ass 25CM fan.

WHAT THE HELL?

I asked for PC007B and all they give was this different case???

haha just like me. i oso asked for plain side panel and then they gave me this! a mesh-panel with 25cm fan!.sweat.gif

serez, that case is neither pc007 or PC7Plus. It's this!! http://www.lian-li.com/product/product06.p..._index=4&type=b

PC7BYCF

Those bunch of idiots really screwed up. I'm going to call them and complain. How is anyone going to have a silent case with huge ass 25cm fan blowing? Heck, even if we do remove it, the mesh is going to A) bring in moar dusts B) More noise.

Oh did i mention there's a silly top hole suction 80mm exhaust too?

EDIT: Anyone else who had the same issue like me and serez?
EDIT2: Serez did you ask for an exchange?

no need to be confused ler... im guessing GT are the OEM makers of the Lian Li 007 chassis.

my GT is the same exact case as the PC-007. Lian Li site states it as the PC-007 (OEM)
*
i'm not confused about the OEM thing. I am confused about how they differentiate between case models.

First, i told them i wanted this:

http://www.lian-li.com/product/product06.p..._index=4&type=b

Next they gave me this:

http://www.lian-li.com/product/product06.p..._index=4&type=b

What did they write on the receipt?:

PC7B+

LOL.

yup i`m asked for them what the pc-007 oem offers - i want that plain side panel but he told me that this is the pc-007+. i`m really confused with those 2 models. he oso wrote on the receipt with pc-007+ but what i get is this 25cm fan side panel! and this what i dont like. running 2 days the habuk oredi fill up in my case doh.gif  u can try msn with one of the seller - jasonlys100.
btw the top hole supposed to be there i think.. sleep.gif
*
so did you exchange it to something you wanted instead?

tongue.gif

I might have to buy a large piece of foam pads to cover it up, or remove the panel grills, replace it with an acrylic sheet.

But seriously, this isnt the case i wanted.......

okay about the PC 007B issues i had with ATE few days ago, after some serious negotiation with them they finally replaced the stupid worthless 25CM fan + mesh side panel with a regular black side panel which is identical to lian-li's site. I don't have to pay a single cent, the shipping back fee is at their own cost.

Anyone here with the same problem should call them and make them do their job. It's your right to receive something you want instead of being duped to eat something else. I had to call them, had my father give them a dead line where if they still refuse to change the panel, he'll bring the case up to the consumers and have a small claim case. Finally, it worked. ATE is the perfect company where stupidity and irresponsibility are concerned. (did i mention all the staffs at the Klang ATE distro do not speak English?)

ATE's boss is Mr Lim. Call them and directly ask for him. He'll normally avoid you and you probably will never even speak to him if it's about the claim issues. Here's what you do. Know your rights, let them know you'll sue them if they are not going to change the panels for you. Don't bother asking for Mr Lim's handphone because the staffs will never let you know.

Again, the PC 007B they claimed to be IS NOT a PC 007B. It's PC-7BYCF. Confusing? No it isnt, it's just as simple as selling the item as PC-7BYCF instead of PC 007B.

Hmmm which model did u order exactly and asked them to deliver ??

Actually both PC-007 and PC-7AYCF have the identical interior only the side panel is different .. besides they already mentioned in the price list and promotion handout that the model they are selling comes with 25cm fan ..

Unless u never bother of reading it, u would definitely notice the statement..

@vincent07

U could grab PC-7S for RM238 ....
*
that's an interesting assumption.

i live in penang. I don't have access to their price list. I called them and specifically described the casing in detail. (i told them exactly i wanted the PC 007B LIKE the one at the website without any other extras like for instance the 25CM panel. Only one 120mm at the front intake and another 120mm at the exhaust)

See? It's pretty simple, they could have told me that they only sell the 25cm fan version, but they did not.

EDIT: in case you're wondering, the trade was not done through the retail outlet. It was done directly through phone and from the Klang distributor.
