There's no way for u to remove the top panel unless u wanna drill out all the rivets n remove the top panel.
*
if u drill out all the rivets to remove the top panel, can put the rivets back ar? can use screws to replace the rivets or not?

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Nov 30 2006, 08:27 PM)
Got lar..I'm using them  tongue.gif

Har. Now oni u realise ar?  laugh.gif M3 thumbscrews dont exist except the LL ones. If u want sumthin a lil more fancy then u need to find M3 capscrews.  Those r nice but more troublesome coz u need an allen key for them.
*
is this the m3 capscrews u're talking about?

The rivets r replaced by new rivets n it looks just like the original. U wont even notice that the rivets haf been removed. Unless u use caveman methods like hammer n chisel to remove the rivets lar.  laugh.gif

I haf the same exact Sunbeam thumbscrews as the blue 1s in ure pic n they dont fit my V1200.

Yes that's the capscrew I'm talking about.
*
can it be replaced by screw instead of the riverts? cause if can then it will make the top panel removable rite? tongue.gif just a thought whistling.gif

It's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too big.

Might as well buy a mini-tower or desktop/HTPC or a SG01.
*
not too big la, just 10cm wider & 15 shorter (in height & length) than normal atx case... any recommendation on the two case cool2.gif

Have you seen it next to a SG01 and TJ08? tongue.gif

It looks like a school bus parked next to a kancil and kelisa leh.

Personally, I think it doens't make sense as it's too big to be used as a HTPC, if I wanna put on my table.. both the silverstones takes up less space on the table. Doesn't make sense to put on the floor as well since it's too short
*
yeah, seen it, reviewed it...

SS SG-01: (WxHxD) 26.3 x 21.6 x 39.3 (cm)
LL PC-V300: (WxHxD) 28 x 25 x 35.3 (cm)

just a liiiiiiillllllllll bit difference, barely u notice em... tongue.gif

SS TJ08: (WxHxD) 19.5 x 38.1 x 37.8 (cm)
LL PC-V600: (WxHxD) 21 x 37.1 x 49 (cm)

yeah, this u will notice the diff when it comes to their depth cause
SS onli fits m-ATX & LL fits ATX tongue.gif , some more LL fully alu & SS SECC... cool2.gif

A couple cm doens't seem much but it does feel so much bigger.

Anyway.. whats the point of sticking a full ATX into a semi-"sff" anyway?

Me thinks that if I'm gonna stuff a rig full of cards and vga's...big is the way to go.

My only gripe with the TJ08 is that they shud've whacked it full with HDD bays like the Soldam... then it'll be perfect MATX rig
*
yeah, i agree with u, if only all the m-atx will stack with full HDD bays like Soldam (isn't it going to be hot)...

FYI, i'm buying a 'sff' case for easy to carry from one place to another as i'm a varsity student, can't even seperate with my pc for a day like going back home, really piss me off if wanna carry a 10kg rig all the way up till 5th floor for every time wanna go home tongue.gif

do u have trouble installing the optical disc drive on the top most drive bay?
is the drive pushing the USB/IEEE1394/Audio connector panel upward?
*
nope, actually the real problem when installing it is u have to hold em when screwing it in rclxub.gif

huh...mine got this problem (drive push the usb upward).. hence, my drive is on the second bay.

ya. have to hold it when screwing on the first and third bay. kinda stupid LL design.
*
yup, u have to push the wire upward, but there is space for it... it's not like the drive block the wire... anyway u can put temp monitor on the top bay... that way it provides lots & lots of space for the wires rclxms.gif

Just wanna ask if anyone is using PC-V300?? If compare with silverstone sugo, which is better? I plan to build a lanparty rig with it. Thanks.

Product link
*
better u get the lian-li case... more cheaper... some more there a lot of room for ur cooler unlike silverstone sugo where onli cooler with max 78mm height... meanwhile for lian li, the max height for ur cooler is 115mm

Thanks for the info bro. But silverstone casing is made of 1.5mm aluminum. How thick is Lian Li's casing?
*
that i dunno, cause never state in any review i found... better ask forumer here who owns one, 1.5mm aluminum!!! not bad with its weight onli 3kg, surely it's not flimsy, does the silverstone has removable mobo tray?

btw, what cooler u using?

the lian li is around rm400, rite? and the silverstone is rm500, rite? (just curious)

Using CM heatsink, don't really know the name, but it's quite tall. Anyway, i think lian li's design is better. Perhaps i'll go for lian li.
*
yea, another lian li user in da house rclxms.gif

just make sure ur heatsink is not taller than 10cm (to able the mobo tray to pass through the tray opening)...

remember to post some pic in here... wanna see too cause can't see any forumer owned one... maybe u'll be the first (i think) biggrin.gif

Actually, the Scythe Ninja is 15cm tall and it passes through just nicely on my PC-60 Plus. (About 5mm clearance) I was quite surprised too. laugh.gif
*
lucky for u it can passes through... aaahhhh, if cannot also u can assemble the heatsink inside the case... tongue.gif

but for this PC-V600 must make very sure not to be taller than 11.5cm, otherwise it will clash with ur psu cool2.gif

it's not about the wires. the wires are ok. the problem is the whole plastic module, which is kinda big.

lor, i thought it was the wire problem doh.gif ... if it's too big, hmmmm hmm.gif , what's the problem with that rclxub.gif !!!
