ohh.. U mean the mesh fan grill that used to prevent any person or object from accidentally touching the fan blade while spinning ...

Yah it does causes lots of noise and reduction of airflow .. I removed it once I started changing the stock fan ..
*
yerp...me too!!! biggrin.gif

i find the mesh filter creating such noisy sound....now,changing it with standard fan grill...looks better to me...and my temp has been better.... nod.gif

the fan filter can be remove by uncsrew the fan ....it is very easy...

i only take out the rear fan filter (exhaust) as i'm afraid if i take out the front too...it will be more dusty...

but, wouldnt it be better if u put a fan grill rather than leave it naked without any grill? i think it'll look nicer...

made from some sort of metal net...something like a sieve (that thing usually used to 'filter' tepung wan)...

nope..no store in malaysia (yet)...he does his malaysian sales via his website or his subforum in price & dealers guide section.
*
no wonder looks like the wan which is used for 'filter' the 'tepung'....btw, can it works better than standard lian li's filter?coz, looks like the filter hv smaller hole on them... smile.gif

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ May 23 2007, 06:31 PM)
it filters out dust quite well compare to the stock lianli big porous mesh. i'm using the uglyvamp's filter on the front intake fan.
*
i got no problem using finger guard on the exhaust....only if using them on the intake, afraid of the dust!!!
rite now, guess i might stock to stock filter for intake...before trying gary's fan filter...

QUOTE(E-J@1 @ May 23 2007, 07:41 PM)
[*] Filtering dust (if a filter is good filtering all the dust, not even a little dust in --> for sure the air flow goes through it is low
)
[*] Higher CFM (if a filter let through high CFM --> then not good filtering dust)
[/list]
u can't have em both best (CFM High & Good Filtering Dust) ain't i'm rite? icon_rolleyes.gif

but of course, it's up to ur standards on how to judge the filter is good or not
*
yeah...got wat u said... smile.gif
maybe i will try myself for gary's filter and see the outcome...

neway,thx dude..

Hi guys,
me again....
Let's say if i get one of those fan controller from CM or Silverstone for the front, can I use the Lian Li front CDROM bezel cover to stealth it...
I actually dun like the fugly control knobs and blue bling....then if i wan to control the knobs, i just open the front cover manually...possible?>
*
IMHO, u can put the controller in the casing....screw it to the floppy slot.... biggrin.gif then,if u want to adjust it,just open ur sidepanel....i've done it before....it is easier than ur way to use the bezel to cover it (u'll hv to open the front panel to adjust ur fan speed)

but now, i just screw my silverstone's fan controller on the front panel....personally, i think it looks just nice for my pc-007

I think I can put the fan controllers facing inside the CPU as in, when i need to control the fans, i need to open side panel, and adjust from inside.
*
yerp...thats wat i'm doing before...eventho its not very convenience, i thinks its the best solution.... rclxms.gif

OT: is someone here know where to get the sunbeam's fan controller? hmm.gif

"The company will also be selling a few hundred "Limited Edition" cases with a serial number plate and polished copper drive slot covers and insides. Company reps also told us that Lian Li is currently branching out into the premium power supply market with colorful high-power PSUs in the 850 watt range." -- quoted from TGDaily...
