This is the one that is on the vendor website. I asked my electrician if he can help install a junction box plus a RCD but he doesnt know anything about this thing... LoL...

So may I ask if I were to get a junction box, is it that the top left is live, right is neutral, bottom goes to heater wiring? The heater earth and the earth from db box just connect to the same screw holes?

Just like this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIl9TXZm8Sw

Is it? I need to know more technically before I engage Safesense...

This installation is very dangerous. The box elcb don't have water proof. It too near to the heater shower. Better don't install in this way.

Either fix it on top which water cannot spray on it. Or outside the bathroom.

Anyway, just found out that China standards are RCD only, no ELCB at all. Just wonder why Msia still sticks to it, should have forcefully by law change to RCD at 30ma.
*
Msia already have RCD long. Even internal heater is using RCD now.

Why is it that the developer is using ELCB?

Are you talking about the old house?

This does look very dangerous. Potential electric shock.

What kind of installer can comeout such an idea that put a non waterproof ELCB so near to the shower. Crazy.

Print out the website from Enduser and show it to the developer. That is the TNB new rules.

My house already using RCD for over 10yrs.

Also, if let's say I install a waterproof case, it is OK to install a RCD there? My unit is all with 15A socket, so can this socket connect to RCD and this RCD connect to heater? I assume it is OK while outside the toilet, there is normal double pole switch.

Should I use normal 1P+N RCD or 2P RCD?
*
Ain't it ugly to install such protector there? beside not safe.

Try install ontop far away or outside the bathroom. Get a proper design RCD which look better. I already post some example above.

If have 2P, than get the 2P.

It means we are shortchanged? Anyway, replacement is to just replace this ELCB with a RCD right?
*
Yup. Ask your developer if it is a new house.

The model number is CE240B from Hager. Is this ELCB or RCD? Because I see this word Earth Fault Indicator...

"A residual-current device (RCD), or residual-current circuit breaker (RCCB) is an electrical wiring device that disconnects a circuit whenever it detects that the electric current is not balanced between the energized (line) conductor(s) and the return (neutral) conductor"

Is is a RCD.
