First time I heard samseng supposed to keep quiet when working.
Looks more like qc issue from factory.
Changing the fan may solve the problem, but soon you will get indoor unit also giving the same problem.
10 months in Qatar I have very good experience with samseng products. Mine even dancing.

Oh yes, happy that my concern are right.
Have to say sorry to samseng fanboys on this. No matter how they want to protect the brand, the fact of samseng making low quality stuffs can't be denied.
BTW, just to make the fanboys happy, my Panasonic air cond outdoor unit also very noisy, as I'm comparing it to my kingston SSD V300.

Nope, as Kimsim are butthurted, so in order to heel his wound, I need to think of ways to make him happy.
I just want to stress out that, electric appliances still Japanese brands more reliable.
And comparing a SSD's noise level to my outdoor unit is to let you know it is quiet actually even it is a 10 year old model:thumbs:

Cause if you compare from the SSD is wrong way..

I has owned a samsung 840pro SSD so far so good, still working in my MBP..

But just confirmed, why SSD got noise? Internal all chip without any motor or disc when spining, just worred you kena cheated by seller.

My some data here

Now you get my point. SSD noise creation are close to 0dB. If I were to use brand to brand noise comparison, Panasonic will win samseng by ocean's distance. I'm trying to give fanboys a chance to protect a brand.

Yes, you are right. Any Japanese brand when new will operate very quiet until you never notice it.
But over the time, only Panasonic and Mitsubishi still operating like new.

I'm using Samsung aircon inverter, triangle design too for both master bedroom (1hp) and living room (1.5hp).

so far so good and the compressor is not that noisy as yours.

Maybe I'm just plain lucky.

Call for service and see what they say, instead of relying on forum. Could be installation issue for all you know.

If it was mishandled during installation, there is possibility of damage as well. Anyways its good to call the service centre and see what they have to say. After that, if still not satisfied can always go to consumer tribunal to request for full refund wink.gif

As said, design problem. Installation won't really help if design got problem.
When I was working in Qatar, the villas(about 40 houses with each using 6 air conds) are using Samseng air conds. Surprisingly, non of them operating quietly, adding extra bushing on the bash do help on reducing the vibration slightly but can't eliminate the noise.

Someone just commented above that they are using the triangle version Samsung AC and its quiet. How long ago did you Samsung?

Why is calling the service centre for something under warranty is such a difficult thing to do? First we eliminate the causes before arriving to the fact that it is design failure. I am not supporting Samsung but just giving benefit of doubt that's all wink.gif

Can call, but the most is changing to another unit.
Then when noisy again, change again? Then it will be never ending.
For me, I don't need 30 years of warranty if it is keep on giving me problem. s while waiting to be repaired, I got nothing to use doh.gif
Korean brands still need 20-30 years to improve their design to reach Japanese brand's standard.

I am not here to argue, but let TS call and see what the service centre says. I even had Japanese brand fail on me during warranty, this things are sometimes based on luck. If you feel that Samsung is not good enough for you, just stay away from it but in this case the issue is to see how to resolve TS problem. Unless you want to buy for TS a Japanese brand AC to replace the Samsung:P

Indeed luck comes into play. But as said, in that villa I stayed before, out of 60, > 50 of them are giving vibration and noisy issues. If 1 out of 1000, then I would say luck, as it is just 0.1%, but for this, if the % are > 80%, I won't say is luck, more on unreliable products being produced.
BTW, all my appliance at my house are Panasonic, non of them failed before even after 10 years, again this is my luck?
Even a Samseng FL washing machine here keep on boasting how superior that WM was also don't dare to touch Samseng's air cond. So indirect he is telling that it is not reliable.

I think the unit not really that loud sound. It is probably

1) the base and the wall around the unit reflect and echoing the sound. That cause the unit sound louder.
2) The placement space is small and almost surround by wall. It is like speaker box.
3) It is 1.5hp unit. The running sound is a bit higher.

Hi , just notice this reply from here.

FYI, i already replace the AIR cond with Panasonic Inverter (forget what model), now using Panasonic is much better.

Sorry Samsung, you should improve your Air Cond before i give you good comment.

you see our aircon specialist install too darn close to the wall all the time. This reduces airflow right and make it not so efficient

I notice they don't read the manual before install. They expecting all the aircon is the same. Regardless the new type or old type.

yes.... sorry cos my house too small two wall the for air cond is not large enough. But once replace Panasonic unit, install in the exact same place!! still got noise but is much much more low noise than Samsung. Obviously the problem is the brand design itself.

not really about the noise but the circulation. i watch your youtube, it looks like the compressor still can be position much further from the back wall (not the side). Anyway every aircon is installed just like yours - all wronged including mine biggrin.gif

If the unit come in 1st, I will go through the manual.

Than instruct where to locate and what I want. So I don't give them any chance simply what they want to do.

They sure will comeout a lot of excuse. I just counterback. Till they no choice but have to do it.

Everybody can do. I know mostly people lack of skill.

You just need to read the manual and comeout your prefer choice.

If they excuse a lot, the manual is your skill.

Sometime win win agreement also ok la. Not too keras lor. smile.gif

I have experience when blindly follow them, than when problem time or service, another guy will said the installer put wrong la, not correct la, shouldn't do that la and cause I cannot take down your unit la. vmad.gif

Macam macam have. Sian.

My Samsun aircon works OK but it keeps over-riding my setting for the flap thing and blasting me with cold air when I'm trying to work.

Most of the time it is OK but about once a day... WHOOSH, straight in my face. I can adjust the air flow up and down and it stays - until if feels like blowing air in my face again later.

I wish there were some way of stopping this?

All famous air conds' brand were now built with poor quality in year 2020/2021/2022 i.e. Panasonic, Daikin
All you saw on the big billboard on the highways and roads.
However, those quality getting better one were like Haier, Carrier, Samsung, Mitsubishi.

if want highest saving samsung S inverter but maybe your building only 3 wires this need 4 wires (fork out some wiring money) to get 880Watt/hour energy consumption. Of course night time u press Timer x3 times and Set 8.0hrs sleeping timer to save. Normal day maybe use with ECO mode set. Samsung S inverter i bought is 1hp with RM1329 bought Lazada online under JH Home seller. Their installer needs RM270 installation per unit. However I use my own installer RM230 (plus extra wiring RM45 supposed to be RM50 before bargain). Indoor unit 1 year warranty while outdoor unit 10 years warranty. My mom's room complaint that Cool mode is the best for her as Eco mode feels like very warm when sleeping though. My work-from-home room always set temp 25-27. If day time is hot I will put down curtain to make the room easily cool down thus saving more electricity.

Mitsubishi inverter is another option however, it is above 1000watt/hour energy consumption. This one standard wiring no need to fork out wiring money like samsung S inverter.

You may try research for Haeir and Carrier. I have no comment on this two but went to OneLiving BatuCaves was told that only these brands built with quality. Somemore they shown Panasonic casing easily broken and yellowish. Cooling wise Samsung still not bad as the remote there has a fast button to cooling fast at 16 celcius.

Daikin poor quality after used for 1-2 years like my mom's room getting noisier.... common sense everybody brain washed by the highway billboard and build in mind already I WANT DAIKIN. Same like panasonic as well. Poor quality.

Check with the installer first to get their opinions.

The mitsubishi motor very quiet but spare part expensive. Compressor warranty is longer. Seldom has problem the compressor after used for 3 years++ since every night open(7 years warranty if not mistaken). Check with seller 1st. One thing good about mitsubishi is not only queit but also easy to clean due to their design that easily detached. Samsung S Inverter Premium has auto cleaner though and can absorb the dust and organism.
Samsung S-Inverter Premium
