QUOTE(Kato888 @ Jun 25 2015, 03:53 PM) http://www.ibtimes.co.in/lenovo-k3-note-in...g-online-637023 with that voucher can get RM529Those who haven't gotten it yet, wait for official release in Malaysia. India's selling it at RS9999.00, equivalent to RM588 (cheapest AP set now selling at RM579). Based on how A7000 was released in India first and then shortly in Malaysia, expect to see a similar trend for K3 Note as well. |

QUOTE(Kato888 @ Jun 25 2015, 03:58 PM) I expect it to be about RM580-RM600. If RM70 difference, I'd rather go with ori set, save the hassle of rooting + 1 year warranty. My budget's about RM600 or less. Yeah but if one can understand on how to take care the pre-rooting & pre-flashing the customs rom - those warranty doesn't matter unless it's the hardware problem and can easily flash back the stock rom via pc. |

QUOTE(Kato888 @ Jun 25 2015, 04:08 PM) Actually rooting and flashing I'm not so concerned.. more on the hardware warranty actually. I don't know about Lenovo hardwares la, but I know ASUS smartphone lots of problems from what I have gathered. Just want to avoid such situations. I owned a Lenovo A316i and i have flashed it more than 20 roms - so far no issue on the hardware.I have purchased a Lenovo A369i for my sister at 7 mobile but it was a DiGi set - this one i have problems flashing certain custom roms due to it's a DiGi set (it has something to do with the bootloader) - so moral of the story hopefully the official Lenovo set won't have a bootloader problem if one want to flash a custom on it. Just sharing my experience. |

QUOTE(Kato888 @ Jun 25 2015, 04:49 PM) Anyways, can someone post info on what version ROMs to flash with link, ori/custom, steps to flash, precautions, problems etc. and all that info? Agreed - anybody can compile the list of roms and recoveries and update it in the 1st post.@Sitescope So that I can add it on the front page. Will be a helpful guide for those who get the imported set. That would be priceless. |

QUOTE(Kato888 @ Jun 26 2015, 12:11 AM) Hey, if you had used the app you would've been entitled to 10% discount. App seem to have better offer, although only a few bucks la.. That's correct but it's for 25.6.15 only - I try to pay it at 23:52 but CIMB reject it becoz the merchant has exceed the payment quota I suppose. Now only can use the FIRE voucher. |

QUOTE(Kato888 @ Jun 26 2015, 09:19 AM) Can clarify, what do DEV and ST mean? DEV = developer rom (received rom updates every week or every fortnightly)Also, any way to install GApps with official ROM while retaining OTA function? ST - stable rom (received updates may every 2 months) Official rom you have to install the Gapps one by one via PlayStore |

QUOTE(Kato888 @ Jul 2 2015, 11:21 PM) Hey guys need some help.. Try this :-Apparently I can't get TWRP into the phone. 12. Select "MT6752_Android_scatter" in "K3NOTE-TWRP-2.8.6.0-ENG" folder 13. Press "Ctrl + D" 14. Off HP until vibrate. 15. Wait around 10 secs 16. Connect hp (with battery attached) to usb PC via usb 17. Wait until completed --> nothing happens here.. I have already reinstalled LenovoUSBDriver but it still doesn't work.. nothing gets triggered. Any ideas? 1.Install Mobile Uncle tool 2.Extract the TWRP folder and get the TWRP.img 3.Place the TWRP.img in your internal memory. 4.Go to Mobile uncle tool - back up your EFS to internal & external memory FIRST. 5.Choose Update the recovery file - youtube |

Base on my experience while flashing on previous Lenovos models such as A850+/A850/A660 etc this CarLiv Recovery is not my cup of tea.
