I also ended up with one of these... I don't mind the Lenovo firmware since this is just a secondary phone for my other SIM cards when roaming, but the pop up advertising is annoying as hell. It shows up randomly... even when the screen is locked... and sometimes the ads have audio... so the phone starts playing an advertisement in my pocket.
Is there a stock Lenovo firmware without all this junk? I'm guessing this has something to do with the fact that the phone is from China.

Yes... I've already been there. The filter system there is a pile of crap... which is why I'm asking here.

Just flashed 422... and it's offering an OTA upgrade to 424. Uninstalling games/junk apps now but I think I'll hold off and try out 422 for a few days at least before doing anything This post has been edited by biatch0: Sep 12 2016, 08:02 PM

K5 Note SIM 2 shares a slot with the MicroSD. That's why I'm looking at K4 only.

Don't think you need to use the flash tool for that... should be just copy the zip file over to your phone/SD and then install from TWRP?

I used a Sandisk Ultra 64GB when I was using the K3 note. Had some issues while still using the stock China firmware, but was fine after I switched to 422/424/427.

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Sep 21 2016, 11:06 PM) yours Global ROM right? because biatch0 say China stock ROM cannot I didn't say "cannot"... I just said I had issues with it. Mine seemed to reboot randomly when I was using the stock China ROM with the 64GB... after flashed to ROW, no issues at all. Maybe my K3 didn't like my Sandisk? I dunno... you could have better luck
