I would go for the Leap. Specs wise both almost same, though the Z30 is considered flagship model compared to the Leap which is "budget" model. If you can live without NFC and USB OTG, go for the Leap

Anyone care to share user experience of Leap? Considering Leap or Mi4i.

two different phones for different needs.

But if you want a BlackBerry that has the best compatibility with Android apps (after modifications by adding a patched google services and whatnot) , the Z30 is the best choice.

But if you have to between the Leap and the Mi4i, I'll say take the LEAP if you already have an Android phone.

To clarify and to expand on the idea,

Take the BlackBerry Leap, if you already have android, and you're willing to keep and use two phones, and want to have a phone that's super efficient and super manageable at communications. Emails, multiple emails, whatsapp (yeah, you can have in theory up to 3 whatsapp accounts running ROFLMAO, I'm not sure if they "patched" it in the latest BlackBerry 10.3.1/10.3.2), and you're inclined to interact with every engagement (emails, calls, sms, etc).

Android keyboard, no matter how good they are just can't beat BlackBerry. Not even Swiftkey. Swiping is nothing compared to the Flow keyboard of BlackBerry. The Leap should also a far superior triple language typing and interacting as well. (as in use three languages at the same time without switching the keyboard at all)

Take the Mi4i if all you care is the upgrade over the old android.

Well, made my decision. Bought Mi4i instead of Leap. Until BB starts pricing their products competitively, will be hard to convince myself to get a BB.

Until.next time....k

i guess depends on your budget and also needs. if you are free go to a shop that has both the phones and have a feel n touch and then from there decide.
