Hi All,

Would like to ask how do you all mount your modems on a wall without using drill/nails.

I tried using acrylic tape, which works for a while but it started to lose it's grip after 2-3 days.

Any other suggestions?

I forgot to add without nailing it to the wall as well.

I'm looking for other solutions before I resort to this as I want to avoid having holes on the wall sweat.gif

If modem drop, damage even worse than having holes due to nails.

Its best to drill, the heat from modem over prolonged period can weaken the adhesiveness of the tape.

Ace hardware sells a kind of putty called Loctite

It can hold 3lbs and can hold your modem BUT after trying ir myself the heat of the modem would evntually loosen the grip

However it can hold non heated things very well though

Get 3M Command hook from Lazada or Ace Hardware.

Strong adhesive and it can be removed without residue. wink.gif

i'm using this to hang my modem on external wall at high height...

so far no problem, even with strong winds blowing on it's way...

comes with 3M adhesive tape behind,

make sure... ,

1) your finger don't touch the adhesive after you removed the seal

2) fast fast stick immediately ... after you've removed the seal

3) don't touch/re-adjust position after you've stick it... (even if it's slanting)

4) apply pressure after you've stick it..

5) wait for 24hr before hanging your modem on it...

You got the right idea. But i am very sure you bought those cap ayam brand tape. You should have brought this brand.

I swear by this product. I used it to mount 4 gang electrical socket to wall, modem, router, framed mirror, cable holders and even my aunts car exterior visor that peeled off. All of them have last from 1 to 3 years already. I bought the slim roll so i could work with tighter spots without too much size cutting.

With a slight damp cloth wipe the wall clean. Wait for about 10 minutes for it to dry. Then stick the tape to modem/ router first. Use 2-3 layers so the modem will "float" off the wall for ventilation. You need to stick first layer, peel the back then stick again, peel and stick another final layer. Then place correctly and mount. A little warning. Once you stick on and leave it there if there are any issues like repairs, when you take the modem/ router off, the paint will probably peel. Or the sticker will leave residue. Not serious case compared to drilling holes with hook. You can just sand it off before painting.

use soft steel wire (dawai), and pull it through any openings on the modem/router.. Then, you can hang your modem on the wall.. and before you ask more, I'm gonna say, of course you should do it nicely and hid the wire well..

I was thinking about something else. What I meant was, find any existing fixtures that's already on the wall, and hooks the steel wire there.. like on key chain holder, or furnitures, curtain rail, grills, etc. Anyway, yeahhh... you're correct .. it still can't get away from nails or hooks...

just use nails. ony cause a small holes. other options might left u with unwanted mess when u decided to relocate the modem.

any tape will not stick your modem to the wall because of the wall surface, best method is to drill it, stuck in a wall plug and scree your modem on the wall.
if you notice bottom of your modem got something like hook for screw.
