Better get back Nikon flash.
For the extra price you are paying, you won't regret it.
Not to discriminates third party brands, but they need to take a breath after each flash. Nikon flash does not have this problem and can continuously flashing, but you will end up batteries hot.

This is up to you to decide.
For me, I prefer to have the equipment won't fail on me.
With Nikon's CLS, it can do wonders. But you not really need to get SB-910, SB-700 also good enough already.

I use nissin di622 mark ii, good enough for my usage which include the occasional portrait, event and product photography.
The function are simple and straightforward + or - eV
You can use as master or slave for a nikon/canon.
Can also set it to trigger on a flash

Been using Yongnuo for a while, so far no problem, other than horrible battery door quality. Mine is the Yongnuo YN600EX-RT which is a copy of Canon's 600EXRT. This one works with both my Canon and Nikon wireless flash system.

what exactly is ur budget? below rm300?
i had a nissin 622, output is good enough, but obviously build quality lacking abit.
never tried the yongnuo, but it definitely looks nicer tongue.gif
just that when i got the nissin back then the yongnuo didnt exist...else i would be more tempted by it.

tried looking at used nikon flashes? sb600 can get rm400.

Mine still working after 4 years. I do use it a lot on the first 2 years..

Build quality feels ok. I mean no screw or plastic fell out/loose, everything still intact.

I would say Yong Nuo 560 iv should be a good choice as a first manual flash. You can slowly build up by buying another 560 iv and then a 560 tx trigger for more advance off camera flash system. It can be expanded in the future.

Future proofing is a good thing in photography as you should be expending your equipment if you're into photography.

One of my YN flashes have an easy to overheat problem. I hear this is luck on getting a good copy because even Canon/Nikon flashes can be like this too.

Correct about the OVERHEAT part BUT as long as you're not doing consecutive firing at 1/1 then it shouldn't come to that point.

actually my first choice is yongnuo ....

but when i read through part of the forum ... i saw quite a number of ppl said that yongnuo is not that long lasting when compare to nissin .....

thats why i decided to open a new thread to compare this 2 flashes .....

i think maybe i will go for yongnuo .... and as long as i didnt use it too over then should be no problem .... smile.gif

Well invest in good rechargeable AA batteries. Give better recycle time and saves money in the long run too.

Every flash will overheat if kept firing at 1/1 lol. It won't take that long either.

Nikon. Canon. Yong nuo. Nissin. I face this issue on every system.

For manual flash, unless exact power and temp is required, it doesn't matter.

Just must make sure to disable sleep mode !!
