so let's assume deceased has 1million.

let's say he has rm200k debt.

so minus that the distributable wealth is rm800k.

so let's say deceased has will.

only 50% (rm400k) will follow will, the rest must be divided by farai'd.

unless every one of the deceased heir's decide that will supersedes fara'id.

so let's assume some heirs don't agree to 100% will.

so rm400k distributed according to will, rm400k distributed according to fara'id.

let's assume will says children get everything.

so rm400k is confirmed the children's.

then the balance rm400k is to be distributed to heirs, which still include children.

so children get 1/2, spouse (if any, but in this case none la becos both died) gets 1/4 while parents and female siblings get 1/6.

and the rest goes to the male siblings of deceased.

so the children gets an additional rm200k on top of the rm400k earlier as stated in the will.

just bcos you got the share from will doesn't mean your share from fara'id is burned...

in Islamic wealth distribution to heirs of the deceased (fara'id) there are specific rules.

actually 1st they have to total up the deceased assets etc.

then see whether deceased have any outstanding loans/borrowings, so need to pay off his/her debtors.

then from that balance, divide by 2.

1/2 is to be distributed by will if the deceased did make a will.

the balance 1/2 must be distributed using fara'id.

where daughters/spouse/parent/siblings still get a share (in case these ppl are left out from the will).

what the siblings and heirs did here is obviously wrong.

the children are being denied of their rightful share.

yes siblings get some share, but i can assure you it's not and shouldn't be all.

and as mentioned, stealing from orphans is more sinful than just plain stealing...

Donation money should be dispensed to the intended recipient, regardless of who was entrusted to manage the money. Else they should be upfront about it.
