Invest 1k every month is very good. If you can't afford that, then 1k every quarter.
The key is: do not sell your fund for quick profit, and then immediately spend all the profit.

to some people RM 1000 can feed a family for a month...NEVER look down on monies...
you can use it to have a hands on, on the emotional aspect of UT investing....

I think some funds allows initial minimum investment amount of RM 100 too

after that list came out.....click FUND INFO TABLE....
