here is what i got from them...

Please be informed that I have check with research team and please refer to below feedback from them:-

The data point is correct as it is pull from Bloomberg, you may be curious why the higher allocation of bond fund will get higher return. One thing to note is the comparison period which is from 1988 - 2008. In between these period, there are something big happened such as Asian Financial Crisis 1997, Dot Com Bubble 2000, and Global Financial Crisis 2008. During that time, equity market drop a lot due to the crisis, that the reason a higher allocation of equity means relatively more severe loss. Therefore, increased allocation of bond fund helps buffer the loss. That the reason why higher allocation of bond fund in these period (1988 -  2008) will get higher return.

Like that also can... doh.gif

because many chances of "things" can happens in 20 years cycles....so to be on the safe side.....20EQ:80FI ratio  doh.gif if want to set up allocation for LONG Terms ..... thumbup.gif

Does not make sense to me. 20 years are sufficient to get multiple bull and bear market. But if we're to make data driven decision, looks like more bond fund allocation is the way to go for long term rclxub.gif

hmm.gif ...you have
RHB-OSK Big Cap China - 25%
CIMB Ponzi 2.0 - 20%

means
China/HK/Taiwan region is about 25+7=32% of your portfolio....
thus my suggestion is to reduce this
BIG CAP China to 10% and increase Ponzi 2.0 by another 15% (or 10% into Ponzi 2.0 and 5% into EISC fund)
"why"?...I chicken mah..
