Ponzi 2.0 is not up to standard recently due to change of strategy by FM to divert concentration to Greater China region.

I'm sure this FSM article will attract the attention of most of us here:

Idea Of The Week: How Can Malaysian Investors Cope With The Ringgit Depreciation? [22 May]

In the wake of a series of sub-optimal economic data in the US over the past few weeks, the rally of the US Dollar came to a halt, allowing most of the Asian currencies, including the Malaysian ringgit, to take a breather from the continual depreciations since June 2014.

While the ringgit seems to have stabilised somehow, consensus forecasts still indicates that the ringgit is poised to depreciate further in the near term, with the latest mean estimates showing that the ringgit is likely to reach RM3.72 per US Dollar in 2016. In this week's "Idea of the Week" segment, we explain some of the reasons why the ringgit may depreciate further in the near term and suggest how investors can take advantage of the weakening ringgit.

Hi guys, CMF2 has been experiencing lower yields for past few days. I tried to search online, but couldn't get much explanation on how exactly money market works. Someone here mind to elaborate a bit ? thanks !
*
CMF2 "invests" only in bank deposits, fixed deposits and money market instruments

My best educated guess - banks are offering lower and lower rates recently

Why?

1. They expect BNM to cut rates
2. Too much liquidity i.e. cash in the market
3. RHB-OSK expects BNM to (ahem) raise rates soon, thus reluctant to place much in longer-maturity, higher rate deposits

Affin Hwang SIF has significant overseas exposure
Whereas Affin Hwang Aiiman SIF is largely Bolehland stocks + bonds

QUOTE(lookie @ May 25 2015, 10:33 AM)
May I know if the fund performance/returns - 1 year, 6 mths , 3 mths etc quoted on the details page...is it gross or net of the annual management fees?

For eg, some fund quote their 12 months performance as 5%, but charges an annual management fee of 1.8%. Does that mean their net return is just 3.2%?

Can't find explanations on the FSM faqs itself. Thanks.

Read Post #1 of this thread please. It should teach u a fair bit on the technical side of UTs in layman language. Thanks smile.gif
