I bought a mi box android tv version for my mom to watch astro and unifi play tv. I managed to install the Astro Go apk and the app launches fine. However, on the login page I can't click or choose anything. When I click on the remote /a wireless mouse / controller, it says "no app can handle this request".

I'm using version 8.1.98 and have also tried 8.1.93 but both have the same problem. I have also changed the default keyboard to Indic keyboard and also tried Pinyin and others but same result.

Hope someone can shed some light on how to fix this problem. Thanks.

I just downloaded the 8.2.1 which is the version which worked for you but since its a different rooted box, I am not sure if it will work. Will try once I get home.

Thanks bro, will try this method also. Yes, I have a shield too but it also didn't work in the shield. Will try the browser method and I hope that it works.

Edit: Just want to update here that using the browser to download worked. It seems that the app needs to open a browser to perform the login.
Anyway, the Astro Go apps interface and control really sucks. Its so difficult to navigate even with an air mouse.
