Dont use the builtin xiaomi app.
Download VST app using computer save to thumb drive and install into mibox
http://www.91vst.com
2GB are reserved for OS partition untouchable.
U can zoom in but i cant recall how now.
Otherwise install "XH Home for TV" app and launch it u will able to see the "normal android" settingd page.

2GB untouchable! That is so cruel.
Is there anywhere to install KODI and run perfectly in this Xiaomi?

Kodi size maybe varies depends how many addons installed or enabled, plus caching it couls varies between 200mb to above 1gb.
It requires constant cache cleaning but otherwise its fine.
Xiaomi builtin app also takes up alot of spaces, some of it can be cleared without problem.

If u owned an older version mibox, its advisable to add in sdcard.
If the latest version without sdcard slot, well wait for xiaomi firmware to enable usb support for storage

Afaik, iflix are not supported in Mibox yet.

Iflix quality sux and very limited content.

I have an issue with me right now and I am not sure others are facing the wifi connection for Xiaomi 64bits.
Last 2 days I faced no connection from my router and my Xiaomi. I have on / off for both Xiaomi and router more than 5 times and it was still the same, no connection.
However yesterday it works fine but there was a short lost connection for awhile.

Steps I have taken were:
1. Reboot the router and tvbox, several times.
2. Checking the router setting, any restriction of number of device connection,
so far no restriction.
3. Others setting look normal (default) to me.

Anymore advise to troubleshoot this broken connection?

I am not sure about the channel, Wacky. Come to think of it, actually I am having this issue during the 1st day itself for loosing connection intermittently.
Should I need to configure the channel? and how to do it?
Advise please.

Guys,

Not sure whether anyone facing this similar problem.

My mibox2 would sometime face the disconnection problem mentioned by teniqcnerd above. And to recover i would need to restart the unit, but holding the power button on the remote and choose the reboot option.

I noticed sometimes the reboot just takes a short while, while on some occasions it would just hang at the ictv screen for a long time. Any solutions to this?

Try to do some cleanup of your Mibox using Clean Master. If possible, can update to the latest version firmware.

Does anyone here know how to solve the internal memory problem of mibox ? I have deleted alot of apps and still can't get kodi to run properly. I used shafa market optimizer and the cleanmaster to clean it still the same.
