Still the same problem, tried rebooting the mi box, rebooting the TV, changing HDMI ports... sigh...

My tablet and Xbox One can play Netflix vids with no issues...

I hold down the power button on the remote to get reboot option on screen.

My orico brand usb3 gigabit ethernet dongle works fine. Maybe the ones you tested are not compatible?

have anyone ever buy from this seller before? want to know is it android tv os or just just ordinary english mibox version.

After 1 week with mibox3 int version

1) Installed Sofa App (cool, you can access from home screen)
    - Install MoreTv
  many movies for watching

2) Installed Set Orientation and tweaked , and astro on the go works good now.

What need now, is USB to RJ45, USB mouse and plug in my 1TB removable hardisk with it

Anyone using their Mi Box with Logitech Harmony Hub? I finally had the time to add my Mi Box to my Harmony last night, and it has trouble turning the Mi Box off.

When I press the off button (on my Logitech remote), my TV and HT turn off correctly as normal. I also see the white light on the Mi Box blinking once, so I guess it received the signal, it just doesn't turn itself off.

Then when I turn on everything again, the white light on the Mi Box turns off for a while, then turns back on.

So functionally, I can use my Mi Box when I want to. It's just that I want to fix the power off if I can. I don't want it to die early just because I never turn it off.

It's my TV's CEC. So the Harmony turns off my TV first, which turns off the Mi Box, and a split second later Harmony sends a power toggle to the Mi Box which turns it back on, hence the blinking white light. 

Set the Harmony to never turn off the Mi Box and all OK now.

hi guys. i'm planning to buy mi box and i'm just wondering can we play movie via usb/ external hardisk? i want to connect with my old plasma tv which is do not have features to play movie. i google for answer but seems getting more confuse lol. anyone care to clarify? thanks in advanced

When I first bought it last year, I spent slightly more than RM400 for it to ship to MY. It served me very well and is worth it. However this month I upgraded to Nvidia Shield because I will turn the Shield into my Smart Home hub (control all the sensors and smart home stuff). The mi box is a solid android box for streaming content and playing the occasional game or two on it. I have helped set up several friend and family mi boxes for them too and all working flawlessly.

I’ve used a thumb drive on the USB port before, most but not all apps can be moved to external storage. It makes the mibox feel a bit slow though since the port is only usb 2.0.

Anyway, I’ve removed the thumb drive and now only keep a few apps installed on internal storage. YouTube, Netflix, iFlix, Kodi, Spotify and about 4 games.

Waiting for my Nvidia Shield TV to come. Got it at rm800 for the 2017 16GB model.

Me too, Amazon botched first delivery attempt. They resending a new one.

I've not received my unit yet, but according to the seller, yes. 1 controller and 1 remote are bundled in the 2017 kit.

I think most but don't expect much. The quality and smoothness is not even half off the quality and smoothness from Netflix.

I not really sure because I using my sister account. I think most of it. Also I got extra On Demand free from my Samsung phone last time.

Hi im new with this android box thing and i felt like wanna buy one too but got so many question. Can you extend storage since its only have 8gb rom. And can you play movie from external hdd or need extra power supply to play the external hdd. Thanks

2 devices can watch at the same time. any more you will be asked to swap out. and there is a limit on swaps per month.
