Just received my mibox, Netflix playback no issues
I was expecting google voice to work with Netflix, seems like stil need keypad input
Also, how's google voice working for you?
Does it get your command as accurate as possible

I have a old Mibox (ZMD-09-AA) version / Or namely mibox 2 enhance version. It comes with Quad Core, 1gb ram and 4gb rom only.

This unit was stuck away for some time until recently I took out again to explore.

After updated to latest rom (official miui) there are some issue I'm facing.

1) internal memory issue. New system uses too many internal memory. and causes insufficient of space. I'm unable to used USB/SD card as internal storage. Only able to install from USB/SD card.

2) As for connection, I'm only able to connect via wifi. I'm unable to used RJ45 cable to connect directly.

Question,

a) is it possible to install international rom? if so, which firmware should I download and how to install?

b) if I keep using this firmware, is there any way to overcome the above 2 issue I'm facing?

Guys, for the international version
Is there a way to restart the box without unplug the power?
Also, do you need to get the official mibox Ethernet adapter to get LAN working?
Tried with some USB Ethernet adapter I have but non are working

I hold down the power button on the remote to get reboot option on screen.

My orico brand usb3 gigabit ethernet dongle works fine. Maybe the ones you tested are not compatible?

Is there a list of compatible gigabit Ethernet dongle?
Also, yours is the international version right?
Does it it get detected immediately or needs a reboot?

1. can restart by go to setting,about, and it has restart selection
2. im using mibox ethernet adapter. the downside..only one usb. if I need to use usb storage, need to unplug the adapter

Not sure about a list but my orico works straight away if I recall.

It also has 3 USB ports for wireless mouse/keyboard dongle and USB drives.

The mibox usb2 port is a bit weak though. With ethernet and Logitech keyboard and mouse dongle connected, it only supports thumb drive. Not enough power to drive a portable HDD.

I just checked again, apparently USB port disabled when USB debugging enabled
After debugging disabled, USB rj45 is detected now
I thought USB port not working for a while there since it didn't even detect my USB drives

Hi guys!
Using VLC to play movies on my mi box,the audio cannot do a passthrough,only output to PCM on my Onkyo receiver.
However, using Kodi is able to do so.

Any solution as i kinda prefer VLC player.
