finally got bored over the week-end
and plus my fans got really dusty, with dust
literally dis-assemble every thing and got to cleaning...
and while i am at it....
Hm..
why not lap the heat-sink-fan, My Giga-G-Power Pro
and when i am finished I thought....
since waiting for my HSF fins to dry...
why not lap the IHS of my Pentium D 930..
the result...

and what

i get fro the IHS lapping,
the IHS is a copper coated with a layer (of nickel I presume)
( the nickel it seem to be useful here, it really protect the copper base material, I have seen small scratches on the IHS caused by the screw holes of the HSF)
plus when i lap both of it
I found out it is concave shape, the HSF as well as IHS
which it is sunk in the middle a bit
for now i let i be
and let it run for a few day b4 i try OC again,
then maybe find a flat glass block and re-lapp it again....

edit: p/s . oh ya just saw the pic in real size, and the second picture, there seems to be a scratch-like black line, well.. it is the reflection of my house 12" tall abestos ceiling.
