Yup, that is a good example. Power socket which is always in on state is another. Just don't use battery powered  Zigbee devices to extend the network.

Another option is have two device, eg one door sensor activate during gate opening, then need to long press a button in order to disarm. Both conditions  must be met before it can disarm

geofencing dont always work correctly wan. better just get a smart lock like n100, cheap cheap

For Google Home, gotta switch to Aqara app, then you can do it. Make sure any other region besides china.

For apple homekit, need to ask others.

Yeah they are much more expensive but you get 12 months warranty and it’s available. Even in China it’s difficult to find it. I’m surprised can find in malaysia. You sure the 3 gang is only 170 cause I remember seeing the 2 gang already selling at 169.
Anyway the official price is ¥239 for the 3 gang so that’s 140. Since you only need 4, you just pay extra 120 only. If you can wait then see later what other resellers are offering. Due to the covid-19 thing, everything also delayed

I have paradox alarm and I also got Aqara hub with xiaomi devices, Paradox alarm is old fashion style, If I were you, I will not consider paradox again, it is just kinda outdated tech

Aqara Hub itself built in speaker, quite loud actually, and can be acts as siren. Aqara with xiaomi zigbee motion, vibaration sensors can almost replace Paradox security system. the only feature that Aqara/Xiaomi motion sensor doesn't have is pet immune motion sensor. if you don't have cat or dogs in house, you should go with Aqara solution, one thing good about Aqara is homekit support, which is local process and can be managed by home assistant. local process is critical as the response is much faster.

Also you can get Aqara N100/N200 fingerprint homekit door lock to automatically disarm the security system when you reach home, it is better than key it code to disarm the paradox alarm every time when you go home.
