what router are you using? and how many devices connected to that router?
TP Link (given by Unifi), devices total is 12 now. 1 iphone, 1 laptop, 1 tv, 1 raspberry PI, 1 google home, 1 chromecast, 1 xiaomi hub, 4 wifi lights, 1 ipad etc... Only lagging when playing ipad games -.-
Online gaming? It takes a lot of bandwidth I believe. Some router can set priority on gaming packets.
The devices are on local LAN control. So, I think no other option than to have dual band router, that is if your PC support the 5 GHz. Then you will have separate band for gaming and your devices.
If you do not want to buy new router, then has to wire your PC through LAN. If you are thinking of powerline solution, you might as well buy new modem instead
Is only ipad game, which is why i'm curious why such issue, wifi speed can go up to 300mbps though. Powerline doesn't work for ipad.
At this moment, you can do that provided you are using Home Assistant with your Xiaomi gateway and Sonoff switches. Few members are planning to do that including robert82 and kelembai. Not sure what is their progress but I am sure it can work.
Lol, no progress, i got all my switches for xiaomi aqara and sonoff but electricity no time yet. Hopefully can be done by end Nov.
Hello guys, I am considering the Mi smart home system but I think one gateway may not be enough to cover the required area:
1. I suppose we can have multiple gateways in one system right, but must these gateways be in the same wifi network? (my current wifi setup is different floor different wifi)
2. is getting zigbee repeater better option?
if my understanding is correct, mi devices can communicate using zigbee without wifi/internet...
wow my plan is to by one aqara switch with neutral to test it out first with the AC switch, if it works then only i will buy more...
qns on aqara wireless switch, if i have an aqara wall switch in my master bedroom and i setup the wall switch (in master bedroom as well) connected to the wireless switch with a gateway, can i switch off/ remove the gateway and the wireless switch can still control the wall switch? thinking how to avoid buying additional gateway.
aqara is weird switch, it is not switch but merely flick type....
