what he mean is the whole brand.. well, my answer, it depends on how you take care on your stuff la, apple stuff will last long if you not rough with it.. anyway, if rosak, the after sales service of apple is one of the best

i don't think it's fair to make that kind of general statement. i'd agree with xordMeztGeR, it comes down to how you take care of your stuff. each product comes with its own handling etiquette. you won't handle a macbook pro like you could a panasonic toughbook, right?

So...whats the point of this thread

Seriously , to be frank . I dont get it

Since its too general , I can't say anything

Its just like asking , Is OSX stable . The general answer would be a yes. But when you walk the path , then you would know that it does hang and crash.

That is the warranty purpose.
To cover manufacturing defect.

The 3 months or 90 days are not optional warranty extension... That is infact the entitled or complimentary expert telephone support. doh.gif
For the AppleCare extended warranty, you get another 2 years of international warranty plus extended expert telephone support for the full length of the warranty time...
So, if you get a Mac together with AppleCare, you get 3 full years of international warranty and telephone support... thumbup.gif

From my experience the slot-loading drives don't last as long
as the tray-loading.

Have heard other cases of iMac CRT and G5 slots dying. Perhaps
from too rough insertion or too thick CDs.

Apple dont make the slot loading drives. They just use them.

on my experience, the macbook got few problems, i got to send mine to apple care coz of superdrive, man i barely use it and now my cd got stuck inside (and yes i tried everything that is mention in the net). something happened to my boss too. but i still like apple, got probably this is a minor hiccup, i got powerbook, imac and mac mini and all of them are fine except my macbook. first time ever send to a shop for a repair. by the way, apple care centre will replace will whole new superdrive. now just waiting for the parts to arrive here.

because you take good care on it....and you deserve that......If you use to smash/strike here and there to table or elsewhere....for sure it wouldn't long lasting.......

i have a question here too....beside defrag the hardisk once upon a time....any way to help makes its life longer?
