General mindset will be:
US MNC: Relatively high pay and better benefits. Japanese company: Low pay and low benefits but you could learn a lot. Taiwanese company: Might be high pay but work load is a lot; perhaps might be same like China company too. |

US - capitalistic. Profits are very important to them. Outsourcing may be frequent if costs are expensive
Japan - Asian work culture. Employees expected to die for their company - literally in working. Taiwai - Chinaman. Enough said... The information is just from a personal perspective and I may be wrong. |

QUOTE(say_it @ Oct 19 2006, 10:56 AM) You missed out Europe company eg. Germany. 1. US - Performance driven, only the best will survive and get promotedFrom my p.o.v. the priority should be like this: 1. US 2. Europe 3. Japan 4. Taiwan 5. Local 2. Europe - More relaxed, do not condemn, good way to nurture a starting career. Can learn a lot as well. May not be as systematic or have a good structure as an American company would be 3. Japan - For most japanese, their first company that they join would also be their last. Very loyal and expect you to be loyal. You would learn a lot from them. 4. Taiwan - Work is very taxing because profits are on their mind and to maximize profits, they would minimize cost (meaning workers) but expect to get things done. 5. Local - Work is very taxing because profits are on their mind and to maximize profits, they would minimize cost (meaning workers) but expect to get things done. Less structured. |
