Wow.. read a few pages of u all challenging urself to train ur furkid is really an eye opener for me.. didnt really know that some of u face d same problem like me, esp. ppl who stay in d same hse with u all dont co-operate to make the training works. In my case is my elder sister who always think that my dog is her dog. I appreciate her kind attention towards my dog but sometimes they dont understand. My wife went to company trip for 4 days and my JRT (sorry no MS here!) went berserk and become so rude esp like to nip ppl fingers! Eating other food bside his meals for free (means do not have to d anything to get fed!) etc.. this spoil all the training necessary to maintain a good relationship with my wife (the trainer n handler for agility) So now v r doing rehabilitation with our JRT, extra agility training n OB .. so what Im trying to share here is to really have a good conversation with the d ppl who stay with us to let them know the importance of discipline our dog. biggrin.gif

Is is possible for you to attach three pieces of playpen to your cage? Then put newspapers or your tray within the playpen. Leave the cage door open, so he can come out and pee/poo when he wants. Since he will be contained within the playpen, then he will only do his business there. Errr....hope the explanation is clear. If not, let me know and tomorrow, I will take photo for you and show you what I mean coz I do that for some of my dogs. smile.gif

Thats what i did to my JRT also.. toilet train is just an option, if ur dog cant make it dont force it.. try something else.. keeping too much wee wee in the bladder for a long period of time, quite frequently will encourage stone growth in d bladder. My jrt pee's n poo's in the cage n sleep's all over d hse. I know that my JRT are hyper clean n wont enter d cage if it's too wet, try to wipe the bum n d private after they do their biz. Honestly u must be firm with ur MS, ur voice tone is very important, let them know who is d master and if u think u must whack, just roll up newspaper n whack ( not to extreme of course) for barking, u must pay xtra attention coz MS are abit barky n whiny, try use d bark collar. All this comes to ur patience n time, training is a must during puppy if not later u give ppl also ppl send it back.. if got xtra allowance, after age of 6 month n above can send to OB class.. its good for socialize n creates stronger bond among u n d dog.

Sorry for the long breath .. play pen gives space for ur MS to roam around and exercise their legs, caging too long hours will stress ur dog n pls remove the muzzle as this will extremely make ur dog stress! Imagine i stick ur mouth together more than 2 hours..

Yah, normally the equipment is sterilized in a machine after each grooming. ... but some groomers lazy or want fast, just simply clean and use. I think got 1 case this happened, friend's dog kena mange.
