last nite i went out for grocery shopping, so i put him in the cage. When I came home, he poo in the cage and he tidur on the poops . Why ler ? How to cage train ?

playpen kenot - worse. In playpen, he doens't even know where to pee or poo. He cincai pee and poo in teh playpen and then he lay on top of them. I can't be bathing him everyday - later he sick, i also sick . The best way is cage lor. At least in the cage, when he pee, the urine gets absorbed by the newspaper. The only problem with cage is his poops. I dunno his exact time of pee poo. He pee poo whenever he feels like it. Sometimes, he ate in the morning and nite time baru poo. So, i kenot predict his time of doing business.

Added on May 5, 2007, 9:50 pmby the way, how can i regain back my hepy's confidence towards me?? First week, he only follows me and when other ppl call him, he no choi one and he's sked of them. But after the day i started to let Hepy play with my housemate, now he only follow my housemate. No more choi me when i call him and no more close to me. Seems like "other people"'s dog

no wor .. Hepy is weird ar. He LOVES the cage a lot!!! I open the cage door, he also won't come out. He prefers to stay in the cage and he always sleep inside. Just now when I carry him out from cage, he start to walk in round and sniff the floor ... show me sign he want to pee or poo already ... i faster put him back in cage. THen he straight away lay down and continue sleep again in the cage . He don't want to pee poo anymore when he is in cage. He always pee poo at my door there. Last nite he pee poo at my door again. Last time at nite he noes how to go to tray to pee poo ler but lately dunno why he kepe doing his business at the back of my door. He's not marknig territory coz if marking territory, it'd only be urinating. He urinate and poo too at the back of my door. . Why suddenly like that one ?

yalor .. datz y i liao . Now I removed the tray from the cage and I put it at the door there. See later he wakes up, he will go there pee or poo or not. If he does, then meaning it's a habit already that he always go there pee poo. Then need to slowly teach liao. Cannot always pee poo at the door there lar .. I kenot put the tray there coz I need to walk in and out from my room. Big possibility, he will not use the cage as his toilet ady coz he will voluntarily walk in on himself to sleep or play or rest. He treats it as his home neh - sigh. I still can't catch his timing pattern yet. This morning I fed him at 6 am untli now .. he still havent poo yet . That's why i'm having problem to train him.

Could it be possibly that he's sked of pee poo?? . He's so geng wor!! This morning eat , then lunch time i gave him a bit of food to makan ... until now 330 pm liao, he still havent pee poo yet wor!!!!! He after meal, before meal, after play, etc ... he also won't pee poo one. His timing not cun one. He pee poo whenenver he likes to. That's why I couldn't catch hold of his timing. If i noe his timing, then I can easily train him to pee poo ady .

He jz woke up not long ago. I take him to the tray at door there. He dun want to pee poo. He looks at me with his smiling face . Then when I backed off, he walked to the original spot where I used to put the tray. He sniff the floor and start walking round and round. I fast fast put the tray back to that spot and carry him and put him on top of it. He sniffed a while .. then walked away. He walked back to his cage to oi oi again . He totally din pee poo at all today - so geng!!

I dun think he will ever pee poo in his cage. He just love the cage so much. He treats the cage as his "home sweet home". He play play play, then suddenly will run back into his cage to rest a while. Then come out play playl play again. Then jump back to cage rest again. I didn't lock him in cage one and even if I do when i need to go out, he didn't even whine or bark in the cage. He just love it so much. So, i don't think he will dirty his own "home" with pee poo. Last nite he was in his cage, then he suddenly jumped out from the cage and ran to living room to urinate . So, i dun haf to worry if he pee poo in cage, then bottom no tray. I only put the tray back when I need to go off for whole day - lock him in cage (when i'm in campus or go out buy stuffs). The tray got his pee poo smell. I never wash the tray at all. Problem is he is confused where to pee poo ar. When I put the tray at the door there, he dun want to pee poo at all OR he walk back to the original spot last time where I place the tray. Then when i place the tray at the original spot last time, he will pee poo at door. Somewhat, he gave me the impression that he doens't like to pee poo on newspaper, he rather do it on the FLOOR !!

wah ... I put the tray back to the original spot coz I saw him jz like want to do bisnis there ma. Then he secretly go pee behind the door when I left for kitchen!! TWICE !!!!!!!!

do u think it's been a habit?? Or he's just confused? Last night, I let him out in my room as usual when I zzzz . Eary in the morning, he woke me up at 6 something as usual. He peed in the tray and he pooped in his cage . Why ler? He doens't seem to like to pee poo at the same place wor. Why ar ?

that was last week when I first bought the cage home. I locked him in the cage when I went to campus and I guess he kenot tahan, so he jz poo in the cage and sleep on it . Now .. day time, Hepy will walk into the cage by himself without hesitation and sleep in the cage but nite time, he will sleep on teh floor next to my tilam OR he will sleeps on my bed with me lor.

Have to let him pee poo at tray when he is free to roam lor. I jz came home not long ago .. I opened his cage let him come out hor, he also dun want to come out. When he saw me opened the room door, he wagged his tail super fast and stand up. Then i fast fast open the cage door, he also dun want to come out ar. He go lick lick hte tray ... then play with his toys INSIDE the cage .

I'll use vinegar to clean the marking smell again and see how it goes. Now dun really have time to train him pee poo coz final is here.

Added on May 7, 2007, 5:22 pmSian lar!! u know what he jz did ??? I was just saying he is guai and sayang him. Next minute when I was typing message here, he peed on my bed!!!! 1/2 of my bed WET with his urine and DAMN SMELLY!!!! . His urine even went through to the floor and I thought he peed on the floor only. I showed him the way to the tray and say kenot pee on floor. I still give him treat. Then suddenly realised why my bed SO WET????? And i smelt it - DAMN HEAVY URINE SMELL!! WTF!! WHY DID HE DO THAT?? He first time peed on my bed and normally, he zzz on my bed wud!! Why he pee on my bed???????

Of course mad liao!! He has never peed on my bed and he loves to go to my bed to oi oi one ler. Why his sleeping place suddenly become his toilet???? I still thot he's such a good boy and always praise him good boy coz neva pee on my bed before unlike the shihtzu I had last time (owez pee on my bed one). But i really dunno why he did it ttoday!!! I really kenot understand what is in his mind lar!! SIGH!

ya .. he is a very confusing dog. He himself is confused. I also confused liao why he did that. He is sked of "leash"!! :keke:. He doesn't really like to be leash for long hours. IF only leash him for 2 hours like that, he still okay but not more than 2 hours lor. After 2 hours, he will struggle one. At least all of you guy's doggies are normal. They pee poo after/before meal and after play time. My Hepy dunno why can tahan for HOURS no need pee or poo one wor. So weird. Until now, I still dun get his timing yet. He jz pee whenever he likes or want.

Just now when i found out he peed on my bed, I took him to my bed and press his head down for him to smell. Then I smack his ass one time. And I took him to the tray and let him smeel his own urine/poop smell there. THen I put him into the cage and I scolded him for cincai pee-ing. That was this evening. I caged him until now. I opened the cage door again .. he dun dare to come out liao. He looks like want to come out and he jz stand at the cage door there but he dun dare to come out liao. Sigh... i opened the cage door and i said "hepy, don't cincai shh shh again ar .. if u cincai shee shee again, i'm going to smack your ass real hard.". He dun dare to come out.

Wait after my finals baru got time keep an eye on him liao. I think I'll lock him in cage for the moment. Restrict his freedom and dun let him out for too many hours a day until i finish my finals ... then i can supervise him 24 hours.

Last nite i tried Joanneloidog's method of training (in shihtzu thread). Wah .. kenot ar. My Hepy so kolian neh. He stand there for 2 hours and din pee poo at all until his legs so xuan and he whined. THen I put him back to cage and went for my midterm exam. i came back around 9 something and I let him out and put him at tray there. He stood there by himself and dun dare to move for about 15 minutes like that, then he ran to us crying (barking in high pitch tone) and his face so cham .. wahlau .. I thot wud happened. I faster carry him up and he was still crying when I carried him up. I stroke his back. Then paly with him. Suddenly he noe the command "come" .. . I use food to lure him .. LMAO.

Note: I think Hepy thought he kenot pee poo in front of us. I think he is sked to pee poo in front of us already. He got the wrong concept that we allow him to pee poo in front of us but not cincai pee poo everywhere. Now he dun dare to pee poo in front of us ar. Last nite he laid on the floor while peeing - wahlau - his body all wet and I had to bathed him middle of the nite . How do I make him regain back his confident to pee poo in front of us ? Now I dun want to train him pee poo ady but I want him to regain back his confident to pee poo in front of us first .. then only slowly teach him to pee poo at correct place.

Last time when cincai pee poo .. let him smel lor .. then put the urine on tray and let him smell again lor. Then scold him lor. Newspaper got pee poo stain. Even got the poo there .. sigh. Last nite he poo twice behind my door again liao but I jz pick up and din scold him this morning coz I want him to regain back his confidence first. He jz sit there and look at me when I pick up - his face a bit sked I scold him. But i din say anything. So, you mean if now he cincai pee poo on floor, I also give him treat ? Then take him to newspaper smell .. then treat again ?

eh, then meaning after he makan right, i wait about 5 minutes. Then take him to tray there. If he didn't pee/poo in 15 minutes, I set him free a while for about 5 minutes. Then take him to tray again for 15 minutes until he pee poo. If he din again, then set him free again for 5 minutes first. Continue this until he pee/poo?

Last nite I treated him like a new puppy again. After he makan, i straight take him to tray lor .. then he stood there for like 2 hours until his legs super xuan .. I also sit next to him until tired ar. Then I put him back in cage coz he din pee poo at all. He was whining and crying already but dun dare to move - he's sked I will scold him if he leave the tray. Then nite time after my exam, i came home, I fed him a bit of supper and take him to tray again .. he also stand there for like 15 minutes and I didn't sit with him. I sat at my desk and watch him from time to time. He suddenly ran to us, crying. He cried while running to us. I thot wud happen. His face was so cham and kolian. I carried him up and I stroke him and he was crying under my embrace . I felt so bad after that.

eh, RM 600+ with cert .. super cheap ler.... Mind to give me the contact as well ? . I might be interested for a second MS to teman my Hepy. Hepy looks bored to me everyday.

Hepy didn't pee poo in front of me at all today. This morning I went to see doc and when i came back, I saw him pee in the cage already (the newspaper wet and yellowish). I dunno how to train ler if everyday he also like that. But seriously, today i haven see him pee poo yet. I jz gave him his dinner and he straight walk into cage to sleep.

Not now .. until i manage to train hepy properly .. tehn baru consider

Ya .. he is sked to pee poo in front of me. I'm trying to gain back his trust now and I've been playing with him a lot. He starts to follow me around again now and when I say "hepy come. Come boy"..... he will come to me one . So happy when I say "come boy", then he comes to me .. . For now, I will not mind where he pee poo. Must make sure he starts to pee poo in front of me again - make him not sked to pee poo in front of me first. Then baru start teach him the way you said. He is indeed a very intelligent dog. I jz teach him "sit" today and he already noe how to sit when we all say "sit" . THen last nite when we played with him, we used some kibbles to lure him to come. In one minute only wor - he ran back and forth few times only - he already know my bf's other hand got kibbles and he kept going after that hand . Very intelligent but too timid already.

As for the second puppy thingy, I'm considering a second MS or Silky Terrier BUT not now . Now is still not the right time and of course I know, having two puppies will be a chaos . One puppy now already susah to teach when he shows his stubborness. Another puppy would be in the future when I can 100% manage Hepy first. Else i think i'll *faint .

Btwn, Hepy is fully on Blackwood puppy now. Few days ago, i was still mixing it with NutriEdge (given by seller). I find blackwood superb!! Now his poops .. no odor at all wor - geng
