Rodgers may buy himself some time if he somehow manages to win the FA cup inspite of missing on top 4.Failure on both fronts will definitely see him get the boot..

Unless a city suffer a dramatic collapse,it looks like rodgers is on his way out.Coming to the point I think klopp isn't a good choice.

I am now opening up to the idea of having rafa back.No top manager will want to inherit this mess.

After much thought,i think keeping brendan rodgers will be a better decision though it will be unpopular.Sacking and rehiring the entire backroom staff is gonna cost alot. That money is better used for transfers.
Rodgers has come out and said that he wanted marquee players but wasn't given the money.
I suppose that the owners also have to take blame.

QUOTE(cherroy @ May 1 2015, 04:33 PM)
The problem is the manager is weak in identifying good players and the record of success in transfer speaks itself.

huh? Hundred million spent, that now complain was not given the money?  shocking.gif
*
Yes but his net spend was only about 35 million. Most of the money was recouped by suarez, assaidi and suso sales.Besides there is this stupid wage structure that are FSG don't want to break.

Rodgers wanted willian, mkhitaryan and costa type of players but was forced to shop at lower prices.
I don't absolve him of blame completely as he was responsible for the southampton shopping.

What i do think is that he will be targetting higher calibre of players if he was not restricted by FSG.
FSG are very shrewd and certainly should take blame.

QUOTE(cherroy @ May 1 2015, 09:14 PM)
The manager bought 100 million plus of players, whether the net is how much or not doesn't matter.
Fact is 100 mil is given to be splashed.

When a manager spent 100 million and yet complaining no money was given for marquee signing, then it is the manager fault that unable to find good players in the transfer market.
The manager can sign a marquee signing of 60 million with the 100 mil war chest and still got 40 mil left for others.

Lallana, Lovren, Markovic already worth more than 60 million.

Mind that not a single signing (except Can) of last transfer window (that worth more than 100 mil) who can be proclaimed a permanent spot of starting XI.
*

The problem here is that FSG dont want to pay above 100k per week for any player. They think that a player should earn it.Even suarez for all his heroics was only offered 200k per week if he stayed.
If going to 2nd from 7th in one season was possible with SAS,I dont see why rodgers won't get top 4 again next season if he gets the strikers he wants. The last thing the club needs is another cycle of rebuilding.
If they really have to pull trigger, then i hope they have already convinced klopp to sign before that.

Sacking n rehiring gonna cost alot? Apparently they werent thinking of dat when they sacked KD n sign a midtable unproven manager no???

I see pace n youth in our players. experienced manager n coach wud know wutto do....BR dont. U want to sacrifice another year to give him a chance??? After 3 years given??? And next year wuts the excuse will be???

Will still be thinking abt the cost of sacking n rehiring???

No one is thinking abt wut it will cost liverpool fc in terms of reputation???

U treasures ur money more??

Kenny was out of the game for too long. Not blaming him for that.Everyone was carried away by the honeymoon period.

Rodgers not only got back into the top 4 but he also challenged for the league.Certainly that is no luck.Rodgers has improved alot.He knows what it takes to win.He just doesnt have the players.
I am not a blind supporter of BR.I feel that he deserves at least another half season.

3 years with liverpool, more than 20 players signed and you tell me he deserve more time because he doesn't have winning players? by your logic, we should let br spend 100m every year until we get the right players, that's if any "good" players want to join us.
*
He didnt exactly come to a club that was doing well.Besides he doesnt have free reign on transfers. The transfer committee was set up to prevent screw ups like the downing adam debacle.

"I don't want to stand on the owners or
Brendan's toes. I am just speaking as a fan, but
that is what we need to do. I wouldn't buy any
more potential in the short-term. I would buy
players that are ready to come and fight and win
and be successful."

Even gerrard thinks so.I wonder where are the lap dogs who were screaming potential and exciting youth early on the season.

I am sure there is a lot of lapping up to be done this summer.Get ready guys.

Sterling is british how come he is leaving?
i always under the impression that british players are much more loyal than foreigners.
or is that a massive lie that has been perpetuated all this while by the clubs lap dogs?

I would like to give rodgers a chance but all these transfer rumours are forcing me into having second thoughts.
