By the way, do you guys do fan meet ups?

I'm new to LYN but a long time Juve fan, only ever attended ONE gathering and that was 12 years ago; it was organized by JFCM if I'm not mistaken.

Hard to find other Juve fans in KL.

i like this idea of meeting up cool2.gif

Wow, it has been years since I last checked on how JFCM is doing. Glad to know that JFCM is very much alive!

It's a bummer Astro stopped showing Serie A. I noticed last season they added the Dutch and French Leagues was it?

Well, let me know if anyone is meeting up, even if it's just a few guys at a mamak to chat.
*
Astro shows all football leagues (even Brazilian Serie A) except the Italian Serie A. Seems like there is a global hate towards Serie A not sure why

No idea about this Matuidi situation but that James rumors of buying a house confirmed by Real Estate company that helped Pjanic, Higuain find houses in Turin and Pogba and Zlatan find houses in Manchester is really starting to get me dreaming.... yes i know it could all still be a dream...but signing James will make me forget Pogba completely and makes up for the sales and marketing loss of Pogba completely for the club as well hmm.gif

James and our mercato is closed shut:

We can field 4-3-1-2:

Gk: Buffon
DL: Alex Sandro / Evra
DC: Bonucci / Bazagli / Benatia
DC: Chiellini / Rugani
DR: Dani Alves / Lict
MCL: Pjanic / Asamoah
MC: Marchisio / Lemina
MCR: Khedira / Sturaro
AMC: James / Pjaca
FC: Dybala / Pjaca
FC: Higuain / Mandzukic

Now that is a team to aim for the CL truly icon_rolleyes.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

yeah i guess james and fabregas are both off

i rate matuidi at 30% chance of joining. High chance Witsel will be our next midfielder shakehead.gif Guess he is at least better than Asamoah

Damn our def and strike force are world class but the mid without our first choice mid of Pjanic and Marchisio is thrash

Witsel's move collapsed yawn.gif

I am neither sad or happy about this. We should be able to win Serie A again but UCL is off with Asamoah, Lemina, Sturaro and Hernanes as ours subs for our 1st choice midfield

On a general note, still frustrated after the loss last night.

Probably a good wake up call for us if we want that 6th Scudetto in a row.

By the way Jusstatic, is Adam Digby one of the writers on Football Italia net? His name sounds familiar.

Thanks!
*
Yes. Adam Digby writes for Football Italia and Goal.com i think. He has been a Juve fan for mroe than 20+ years. The book is awesome and has high rating. thumbup.gif

Asamoah of 2012 have every kind of ability to be a great footballer. Power, pace, skills. Now, he couldn't attack, couldn't defend, couldn't dribble, couldn't pass and always losing the ball cheaply

Hence why i'd kinda frustrated when Max put him in instead of Pjaca

as for the formation talk, every Juve fan already crying out loud for that to change. Our 3-5-2 now just sluggish, slow, predictable & counter-productive
*
Yes. 3-5-3 depends alot on wingbacks to provide penetration and our wingbacks no matter how world class they are are not world class wingers. If Ma wishes to play wings, we need world class wingers not world class fullbacks / wingbacks

I still feel with the players we have we should go for a 4-3-1-2:

GK: Buffon
DL: Alex Sandro (with license to provide width and bomb forward)
DR: Dani Alves (with license to provide width and bomb forward)
DC: Chiellini
DC: Bonucci
MCL: Lemina
MC: Marchisio (when he is back)
MCR: Khedira
AMC: Pjanic
FC: Dybala
FC: Higuain

Yea I was just looking at the fixture list too.

Kinda crazy to think that there are so many tough games within a couple of weeks.

If we can get through this period unscathed, that would be awesome.

CL night!.. These 2 games vs Lyon will be key to qualification hmm.gif

My word on Buffon notworthy.gif

We could have lost the game even with Cuardrado's goal had it not been Buffon's top saves...

Best GK ever and I am not only saying this as a Juve fan:

Gianluigi Buffon: Most expensive gk still to this date. World class since 17 where he made his debut in the best league in the world (Serie A. Yes its the best league back in the 90s) at that time. He has been world class and in the top 3 gk in the world since age 17 to now 38 and he is still going

Peter Schmeichel: World class during his Man Utd years, very good prior to joining Man Utd and went downhill after winning the treble with Man Utd. Spent his later years at Sporting Lisbon and Man City (before they were rich) before retiring

Oliver Kahn: Was a world class GK during his Bayern years. Was a good to very good gk only prior to that

Edwin Van Der Sar: Was world class as well during his Man Utd days. He was very good only during his Ajax years when he won the CL, very very average when he was at Juve and very good again when he was at Fulham. Retired at an old age of 41

Petr Cech: Absolutely world class prior to his head injury. Still a very very good gk post injury. Not world class anymore but very good gk status

Iker Casillas: Very good during the early galatico years and world class for a good 6 7 years. He is now considered only a good gk and is not a guaranteed starter at FC Porto

Julio Cesar: Always a very good gk during his Inter years when he won the treble. For years prior and after his Inter days he is usually only considered as a good gk. Currently at SL Benfica

Thibaut Courtois: A very good gk currently. Has yet to reach his peak and even if he did, can he stay world class from 17 years old all the way to his late 30s? Remain to be seen

David De Gea: A world class gk currently. Has reached his peak and along side Buffon and Neur the top 3 gks in the world. Big question: Can he stay world class all the way to his late 30s? Remain to be seen

Manuel Neuer: A world class gk currently. Has reached his peak. Considered number 1 among Buffon and De Gea. Big question as well: Can he stay world class all the way to his late 30s? Remain to be seen

Man, so bummed out after the loss.

Dybala out for a couple of weeks; doesn't help that these few weeks are crucial.

Higuain's goal drought continues.
*
nah its not a drought if he had no service whatsoever. i pity him, he had to drop to midfield to try win the ball and dribble and do everything by himself. Shows how poor Hernanes and Khedira were laugh.gif

But whatever it is, money spent on Higuain is so far still more worth it compared to that 120mil Pogba. Those Man Utd fans thought they have crushed our small little club when they got Pogba off us. Even came in to troll. Now... 4-0 Chelsea and horrid performance after performance. These idiots never learn...They dont know respect. Thry thought by buying Ibra, Mourinho and Pogba they are suddenly the best and greatest and can mock others. Even come to our thread to talk cock when we are not even in the same league. Look whose laughing now laugh.gif

My younger brother is actually a Man Utd fan. But he seems pretty level headed. My father and him go at it on the weekends because my father is a fan of Arsenal + any other EPL team apart from Man Utd haha.

I spoke to my brother briefly about the game against Chelsea and he thinks that Man Utd currently don't have an identity and that they think buying star players can solve their problem. Just as a disclaimer, I AM NOT TROLLING yea but just conveying what he said.

Generally, as a football fan though, it is shocking to see a giant like Man Utd struggle for the last few years and I kind of feel for them, but maybe that's just me as a person.

I feel bad for Pogba though, he's still young, I wonder how he's handling all this.
*
Pogba did not leave on good terms. Yes, he did not bad mouthed Juve but look at that circus of will he or will he not leave fiasco. That is total disrespect to both set of fans esepcially Juve's. I mean if you want to leave, just leave, like Vidal. Why all the dramas and the haircuts and the selfies and the interviews with Juve fans he will stay. Those are toally uncalled for and was seen as troling Juve fans. We supported him well enough not to deserve that. If he wanted to leave, just informed the club and the fans and leave. No need for all that fiasco. You dont see me hating on Vidal do you? He is my favourite player and he left as a professional. I respect that because he respect the Juve fans too in way

As for Man Utd, why do you have to feel sorry for them? Did they feel sorry when they dominated for the past 23 years? You are 33 right? That means same age as myself. Did you not live through the eras where Man Utd fans were the most arrogant and scum like in the world? They are still as arrogant as the beginning of the season where they came in to troll us for destroying us by taking our "ONLY" star player away from us and that we will crash and burn in a stupid and fuckup league. On top of that, their arrogance are further fueled by having Ibra and Mourinho. The best midfielder in the world Pogba, best striker in the world Ibra and greatest manager in the modern game Mourinho. They are back to the best, back to being the greatest. So pity them and Pogba my ass. laugh.gif

I do remember Pogba's transfer saga being rather long and drawn out. It actually got to the point that it was annoying. It's true that he didn't talk much or bad-mouth Juve but his actions were enough. In all honesty, we didn't need that drama last summer.

Regarding Man Utd fans being arrogant, man did I feel it in the late 90s. And being pretty much the only Juve fan in class, it was hard but one just had to face it everyday especially after a CL night.
*
i was abit luckier, me and my pal were the only 2 juve fans in the class.. laugh.gif

The 99 to 08 years were the toughest as that period was when man utd was at the top of their game hence their fans at their most arrogant. they are still arrogant today, but those losses have kept them in check so far. if man utd start winning those fans will rear their ugly head again rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(zaidi @ Oct 25 2016, 06:34 PM)
Except after 2006/07 when Juve was decent in Europe, and especially 2003 when 3 teams from Italy was in UCL semi, as Juve/Serie A fans, I don't feel any inferior, especially to ManU/BPL fans. Though, I must admit I was also in the non-MU team boat once, and really love to see them loose.

3 managers after Fergy, MU is still rocking boat and their fans still could not accept this. Players are paid professionals, they just play according to manager/coach, so it's really Fergie factor for ManU. No one can replace emulate him yet.  I hope they stay that way for another decade and be next Liverpool tongue.gif

In seeing BPL teams ups and downs, before our current 5 year runs Juve still have bad memories. But after new management and new stadia seems juve is ahead of other teams by about 5 years biggrin.gif. so lets hope this continue and attract more players.

Pogba/Vidal whoever left Juve, mostly for money or playing time. I just don't believe mantra like 'i want to win ucl', you can do that with Juve. It's just down to bad/good professionals. Good professionals like Buffon, Marchisio, Chiello, Barzagli are rare. Even Padoin is good professionals. He left because he know he could no longer contribute. Pogba probably still naive, he should not leave all to Raiola. Hopefully Moise Kean is not spoilt.
*
agreed... as for kean i dont have much hope for him especially he is under raiola. that fellow can spot a talent but boy he is a rat at the same time laugh.gif

It's hard to find Juve fans huh?

In some ways though, despite the teasing, it was really sweet when Italy won the world cup in 2006. That was like a personal victory for me; most of those who made fun of me back in school were EPL and England supporters.

But by then I guess everyone had matured and way past that teasing stage.

I hope us Juve fans stay humble during our ups and downs with the club.
*
dont worry about the humble part coz its the juve way. we can win 10 CL and still buffon will be very respectful. thats the lo stile juve wink.gif thumbup.gif

ya we really need to step up if we are to have any chance of winning CL. all the performances so far were adequate for Serie A. We will be crushed in the round of 16 if we dont buck up sweat.gif
