In case you guys didn't know. There is a difference in terms of the Batch/FPO of the conroe CPUs. For this discussion, am gonna focus on the E6600.

If you guys look at the side of you intel box or your CPU you will notice somthign liek this : L628B121

28 - week (i.e. week28)
B - AFAIK there is a A and B series
121 - NFI

p.s. If you have the week L28B batch consider yourself lucky. It's proven to be OCable to 4GHZ stable with under 1.45 Vcore.

p.p.s. Currently have the L26A batch and it sucks shit Only able to get to 3.33Ghz with 1.55Vcore !!!!

I'll like to find out what the batch/fpo for most of the ppl here. Would be great if E6600 users can share their batch numbers here

Cheers

if u have the related source(s), do share us the link here. as far as i know, e6600 need atleast 1.45v just to stable around 3.4Ghz. u can see Y 4Ghz need more laugh.gif

28 - week (i.e. week28)
B - AFAIK there is a A and B series
121 - NFI

I think I read in xtremesystems,

28 - week (i.e. week28)
B1 - Batch Production Code
21 - NFI

It's a code to differentiate between the batch of production. ES, OEM and Retail. Not so sure though. I'm still on AMD. smile.gif
