I just made my third complaint to CFM against TMnut. According to CFM, they have been receiving a lot of complaints about slow speeds everyday. Good job guys! Keep on putting the pressure on TMnut and stand up for your consumer rights!

Hey all, Im the news editor for Zeropaid.com, a P2P, file-sharing website and am doing an article on this development with TM Net.

Exetel, an Australian ISP, did this previously, cutting P2P speeds in halb from Noon to Midnight, for the same reason supposedly but looks as though will be permanent.

Any comments I an use for my article would be appreciated, like how different your speeds are now and anything you may know as to what's going on .  THX

Whats you'r normal connection speed? One guy makes it seem that he's got maybe 10% of what he once had, from 100kbs to now like 10kbs, is this really true?
*
yes it's true.. actually everyone is getting that speed now(those that are effected by the capping) i.e. 10k doesn't matter what package u subscribed.. and now after the capping my msn and yahoo messenger kept on disconnecting itself every 5 minutes or so.. and surfing is a pain as well.. everytime i've to refresh a few times before i could get anything from all the website i go to.. shakehead.gif rclxub.gif

Somebody has sabotaged mrs giggles blog about TMnut, because when I open the page, the text is all scribbled all over the place until it looks like garbage. Is it me or it's my browser acting up? I am using IE7 by the way.

Stupid Malaysian ISP finally comes clean!

People outside of Malaysia think I'm just using it as an excuse to avoid updating the site, but I really had a problem with stable Web connection since the last month. And finally, stupid crappy Malaysian ISP finally comes clean about the reason: they are throttling P2P bandwidth.

If they want to throttle P2P bandwidth because they don't want to spend money to increase their already too-small bandwidth, fine. Many ISPs in many countries are doing that. The thing is, these ISPs reduce the bandwidth by, say, 50%. Being a Malaysian company and therefore by Malaysian law run by idiots of the nth degree, TMNet however "throttle" P2P bandwidth by doing...

I don't what they do, to be honest, but they have succeeded in making my connection to hosts and servers outside of Malaysia completely FUBAR! If the connection is not as slow as a tortoise on its last legs, I cannot connect at all. It isn't just P2P that is affected - every kind of international connection is affected from simple browsing to using MSN to chat to someone outside of Malaysia! I don't know what the babboons in TMNet did but I suspect that they must have hired, as the norm, failed MARA scholars who couldn't read the English manual and just used the eeny-meeny-mo method to determine what buttons to press.

At least other countries have options. In Malaysia, there is only one ISP, which explains why it doesn't give a damn about the quality of its service.

My 1MB broadband connection is pretty much the pits, but the joke is, TMNet is offering now a 2MB broadband service. When they already admitted, after pressure from many people to come clean, that they could barely provide the bandwidth currently needed by the 1MB broadband client base. If this doesn't prove that TMNet is run by spastic babboons from Planet Dumb, I don't know what will.
1 people have flushed.
btw, thanks soulxtc for quoting me in your report.. hope those bugger in tmnet can see your article..

I have no problems with Malaysia being an islamic country. i only have problems with this stupid goverment that does not support an open and free market. this goverment only know how to monopolize this and that. because of this nonesense, tmnut attitude towards it's customers is "one kind" one!

for portforward tips, go to www.portforward.com
*
yes i agreed with nwk.. i also have no problem with malaysia being an islamic country.. it's because the govt doesn't support an open market that kill off any competitors.. without them opening up our phone line there will not be any new isp in the near future... a very good example of opening up the market is the air traveling.. just look at the price for traveling after the introduction of airasia..

i just called CFM regarding my complaint to tmnut. i have waited for more then a week for tmnut to respond to my complaint and there has been no contact from them whatsoever. CFM told me that they are still waiting for tmnut to update them about my complaints. it looks like those monkeys at tmnut are either sleeping on the job or they are ignoring CFM after getting many complaints coming from all of us. Anyway, CFM told me to call them back again if those idiots at tmnut don't contact me in a few days about my complaint.
*
tmnuts r very good at ignoring people complaints one.. so i'm not surprise at all.. vmad.gif

i cari pasal with tmnet again this morning. i ask the cs boy why are they still throttling my connection and you know what he say? he tell me to go to speedometer website to test speed! I taruh him and say there is nothing wrong with my speed and I demand to know why are they still throttling me. then he tell me bullshit storey about my connection to server and how if there are many people on that server my connection will be slow. then i taruh him again and say your ceo already told me you are throttling p2p traffic, why are you telling me about server speed? then he panic and say this could be because of a nationwide service disruption going on now and he blame the technicians for controlling the speed and he say he can't control the speed. So i ask him how long this service disruption will be? he say he have no idea.

those tmnet cs robots still want to tell bullshit storey about p2p even though their ceo already admit it. when are they going to start telling us the truth? guys, if you call CS and they tell you bullshit when you ask about throtttling, please don't waste time and taruh them right away! don't give chance to them!!!!
*
it's so true.. they r just robots repeating the same stupid excuses and a set of scripted command answer and all those bullsh!t.. that's y i'm so lazy to complaint to them already it only make my blood pressure go up only.. it's not good for my health... vmad.gif mad.gif rclxub.gif doh.gif

QUOTE(nwk @ Nov 8 2006, 04:18 PM)
thanks for telling us about your technician's call. some of us here have actually suspected there was a problem with the international link but those baboons at CS kept on denying it. As for the BT throttling you have confirmed to me that the nut in the ceo office has lied to me about lifting the BT throttling at the end of the year. Now we all know tm*nut's true intentions are. At least your technician was honest enough to admit about the BT throttling and international link problem, but I don't know if you can believe his gurantee about the international link being fixed by the end of the year though. it sounds just like the way tm*nut told me about how they were going to buy more bandwidth by the end of the year. our hopes for the end of BT throttling are gone now. No thanks to that "great satan" michael lai and his baboons at tm*nut!
*
u already said baboons mah baboons where got brain to think one.. and i dunno u but i already knew they will never unthrottling our p2p if they already bought the cisco thing i doubt they will just stop using it after year end.. those r just those cheap lies that those baboons make up to let us feel better.. vmad.gif

come on yourself, farking moron. the only reason TMnet existed today and is making so much profit is because the govt allow TMnet total monopoly of the last-mile telephone network nationwide. no other companies can challenge TMnet as long as the government refuse to force TMnet to open up the network, which was originally set up decades ago using taxpayers' money. if there is a free market for broadband service, with no monopoly and exclusive rights, many other companies would have crushed the incompetent, goddamed TMnet and you will have no job.
*
great answer.. withouth them opening up the network there will never be another competitor.. vmad.gif

You guy's don't even know what you are talking about. CMC have already open up the network to other players. They even set max price that TM can charge to their competitor. How do you think Jaring offer their DSL if not using TM line?. You can check CMC website for detail if you don't believe me.
*
from what i know most of Jaring broadband are using wireless as for those wire broadband from Jaring are limited coverage those area in KL only.. i think u need to get ur facts right.. even for their wireless broadband also limited to certain area where they have install their own tower... the last mile r still monopolise by telekom..

Want to try a little 2 minute experiment??

COPY THE FOLLOWING 9 LINES TO NOTEPAD:

:START
ipconfig /renew
arp -d
nbtstat -R
nbtstat -RR
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
ping 127.0.0.1 -n 240
GOTO START

SAVE AS: IPCONFIG.TXT - then RENAME to - IPCONFIG.BAT

Place the bat on your desktop double-click to run, LEAVE IT RUNNING in the background as long as the P2P torrent is running. Just close it when not needed.

I'm on a "foreign" ISP doing the same thing....but this little sucker UNCLOGGED the pipe  for me maybe it'll do some good over there too.

did anyone tried this? i'm at work now.. maybe someone at home can try this now? rolleyes.gif
