Deus Ex: Mankind Divided directly follows the aftermath of the Aug Incident, a day when mechanically augmented citizens all over the world were stripped of control over their minds and bodies, resulting in the deaths of millions of innocents. The year is now 2029, and the golden era of augmentations is over. Mechanically augmented humans have been deemed outcasts and segregated from the rest of society. Crime and acts of terror serve as a thin veil to cover up an overarching conspiracy aimed at controlling the future of mankind…
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is coming soon on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

This new trailer got the feels of MGS in it. Hope this become a main stream franchise. The HR was really fun to play just some of the boss fight part really not that well done.
I love the original Deus Ex (at its time) but could never finish Human Revolution.
Am I the only one hated the voice acting? I really wanted to punch Sarif in the face whenever he barks orders at me. Glad the the whole golden theme is gone, another thing that I don't care in HumanRev.

Totally worth it right.
Now buy the next installment quickly and start another chapter of Deus Ex.
It's out and already getting mixed reviews.. because the game is poorly optimized and not running anywhere above 30fps but lower..
Rip, this is why I don't pre-order games this days.
all review posted days ago is an initial release.they include day 1 patch.im playing about 30 mins and so far so good. since im playing larger screen with controller i limit to 30fps.gonna test it again tomorrow.need to sleep.zzZZz
According to Nixxes Software, the DirectX 12 support will be added in a post-launch patch. 'Our teams are working hard to complete the final push required here though,' the message concludes, 'and we expect to release DX12 support on the week of September 5th! We thank you for your patience, passion, and support.'

OMG WOW the game it is like a movie !! that's crazy !!! somehow it looks like red alert games where they use real human for intro / cutscenes
Hahahaha damm i miss red alert 2 cinematic it still holds up 2 current gen cut scenes even after more than 15 years

GTX1070 1440p everything maxed out, vsync off, 2xMSAA. In game benchmark gave me 26.5fps average. *Not exclusive fullscreen*
MSAA off, exclusive fullscreen I get 35.3fps average and 29.1fps lowest, 42.5fps highest.
Then i guess you pro hitman and splinter cell then Hahahaha damm i miss red alert 2 cinematic it still holds up 2 current gen cut scenes even after more than 15 years I am so disappointed no 60 fps inside
Seems like 60 FPS for 1080p mostly.
I think it is just badly optimised game to be honest.
What kills my performance is mainly MSAA, and the soft shadows settings otherwise game runs fine here with a gtx 970 with most other options turn on @1080p.
Great game btw, glad i decided to splurge on it. THe multitude of ways to complete your objectives are really nice
Man I feel bad for the exaggerated negativity for this is a great game that need to be experienced.
I had occasional hiccups, but no crashes. I'm sure things are going to smooth out( judging from how fast they ame out with a fix to the crash issues), hope they learn a thing or two from this.
I ran the game with TAA instead of MSAA, Volumetric Lighting and Contact Hardening Shadow to "On" instead of "Ultra", they are huge performance killer with little to no visual difference at all, with such settings, I was able to get average 60 FPS on 1440p (GTX1070).
VRAM usage is insanely high though, 7GB clocked after few hours of gameplay.

it should consume below 7GB. did u use ultra texture?
Yes everything on ultra except the 2 settings mentioned above.
It was around 4.5GB initially, then slowly climbed to 7GB after few hours of continuous gameplay, memory leak?
erm . last night i play for around 1-2 hours. vram usage quite similar with the benchmark stated in the pic above. im using 4k resolution with very high setting, vram around 4GB+-
btw Volumetric Lighting and Contact Hardening Shadow gave me serious performance issue.

VRAM usage in Dubai is ok (within average), only Prague area is not-so-ok haha
Bought this game for RM87 (without season pass) as a China region gift. Log in to my side account to add the gift by connected with a China VPN. Shared my side account library to my main account, then playing this game with main account.
(Don't judge me about steam may ban my account, I can explain to steam about this account is belong to my brother who is currently study in China. Steam has no evidence to ban my account because my brother's China friend gifted him this game for free. All the transactions are made outside of steam. I can lie to them I get this game for free without any illegal transaction. )
I was played 7 hours at yesterday, I may not continue to play this game tonight due to the optimization issues and the DX12 release date was delayed to September. I may pause to play this game then wait until DX12 patch release in order to enjoy this game in full optimized MSAA features in best performance.

ppl like to preorder due to the price, additional content and play right after game release. in steam, we can request for refund, so nothing wrong with preorder. u like it u keep it, else just refund.
My caveman pc (phenom x6, 3.7ghz + gtx 760) still could play at high 1080p, no msaa, average 37fps, the fps drop only if i tried to hack door/pc. It crashed my pc once "uncorrectable hardware error"

- 4k resolution using xbox controller - limit fps to 30fps to achieved stable frametime - disable all antialising. not needed, jaggies almost non existence due to resolution and viewing distance - parallax occlusion mapping disable. when enable texture seem too sharp and cellshaded - shadow set to very high. medium and high setting look fake especially bigger shadow like trees - contact hardening shadow (CHS) and volumetric lightning turned off. erm, i read almost all review stated these setting are most demanding option (including AA). so i decided to turned it off completely. - ambient occlusion set to on. high setting in nvidia card seem weird.
So far I'm really loving the detail they have given to the world in DXMD, spent an hour or two just in the TF29 secret office checking out everything. The whiteboard details are particularly well done.
Also found a clip with references to Malik that really warms my heart.. it's little details like this that made this a remarkable game to me.
If you didn't had issue with game crashing to desktop before, DO NOT UPDATE the game. My game ran fine, after updating to first patch, I couldn't transition to GARM anymore. With the second update, I can't even transition to other part of Prague with the metro.
i already have old human revolution, not director cut. what is is the difference? should i buy the director cut or just play the one that i have?
sorry, I can't help you with that. All I can tell you is that playing Mankind Divided without playing HR, some of plot, characters, and quest you might not understand
im having issue with exclusive fullscreen. black vertical border on left and right appear during cutscene. i guess i put it on hold until they release patch.
You should try to do the side quests too, some of them are quite good With that almost 30 hours in already, gonna do a second play-through with lethal stealth using all those experimental augs i unlocked haha

Director's cut includes the DLC The Missing Link, improved graphics and gameplay, commentary from the Edios Montreal on the level designs, gameplay styles, additional achievements.
And it's good to play Human Revolution, that way you will know about the story before Mankind Divided. And yes, the new game have a 12 minute video recap of the first game, but it is better to experience the whole first game through. (The recap is like the interactive storyboard for Mass Effect 2 and 3, but minus the decision making)

I'm only missed out a few side mission tho, I believe I only missed 3.

i bought the director cut and halfway through it, currently mission in montreal. the story is interesting so far and i do all the side quest.
most of my approach is stealth, gun blazing will end up dying too much

Nvidia user stay with dx11 for now, seems there is bug with dx12 mode.

Known DirectX 12 issue: - There is a known bug that causes some very high end cards to regress relative to DirectX 11. This bug is being addressed by the development team.
Depend on connection, feels like flipping table when suddenly returned to main menu There is new breach new content along with new achievement few days ago, I want to try playing again later. Those without DXMD on their library can also play standalone version this game, link
