does anyone know any good (free) software for mac to find duplicated pictures? or is there any option under iphoto that can find duplicate pictures? i just transfered tons of old pictures with badly organized folders..

for finder item, select what you want to duplicate, drag n hold down option key. drag to the location you want to duplicate & release.

for iPhoto, select whatever you want to duplicate and right click / control click > Duplicate.

what about searching duplicate pictures and deleting them while preserving the original pictures only.. any ideas?

none of i can remember. only the manual search n delete way.

you acn try Automator. but i bet it wont be accurate.

You can also use a utility called TidyUp!

Similar to this question, just wondering how do we find photos/mps/file that are not in any albums, still residing in the Library?

Example, I've already put all the photos that I want in respective albums, I wish to delete those which I do not want (not selected into any albums) is there an easy way to locate and delete them?
