biggest problem here as per what Totalbiscuit mentioned,

is the fact that Valve is getting 70% of every purchase... that is ALOT.

and another BIG problem the fact that there are idiots who grab those Nexusmods that's meant to be free and selling it on Steam (basically stealing) <--- need ppl to report to take them down.

i'd prefer the price to go lower first..

Apparently no. Beths set the percentage to 75% and Valve is taking the normal percentage they take from micro transactions.

In regards of the skyrim thing, Ill just copy paste here. Hopefully get this issue some local awareness.

I started playing the elder scrolls with oblivion (yeah, late to the game), although currently I have played Morrowind and Skyrim. It was in oblivion that I started using mods. In fact, I don't think I have done a vanilla run in oblivion. I remember telling my friends about the joys of mods in oblivion just a few days after getting a physical copy of the game. As a student at the time and using my pocket money for the game, free mods with extra contents was certainly a joy to behold.
Before this, Bethesda was one of my favourite if not the only respected video game company in my mind. I'll gladly buy all of the next elder scrolls games despite the fact of pirate copies of the game floating around [money is a big issue for me (and everyone else right?)]. However if it is true that Bethesda is taking money from these mod makers I feel as if my respect should be withdrawn. I'll gladly await for their explanation on this first though.
To mod makers everywhere, thank you for all your hard work. I understand that this presents an opportunity to mod makers to really shine and maybe turn this into a career and getting hired. I really do. But for me elder scrolls and pc gaming to a lesser extent, best features were the mods and modding community. At this time, I feel that if this move was supported, this would destroy what we had.

edit2: (forgot to mention) Also to those who are supporting this, remember that this will pave the road for the future of gaming. I fear that this will equalise the playing field between pc and consoles, thus, even less attention from companies who are focusing on consoles and making bad pc ports a norm if not worse than it is. As the current 17 pack mods are almost the same cost as a full game, I see storms on the horizon.
