Hi every SIFU,
My car is saga blm. I changed sport rim with 7jj/offset 35. 185/55R15.
But when full load, it keep hit fender.
Any solution?
1. fender rolling 2. change original rim flx se/alza/honda jazz....with lower jj and higher number of offset.
Glad to hear opinion from sifu soon.

Before change sportrim didn't plan properly? I think most users install stopper to prevent that.

QUOTE(alexei @ Apr 8 2015, 11:22 AM) Before change sportrim didn't plan properly? I think most users install stopper to prevent that. That means you have chosen the wrong rim size (too wide and/or not enough offset), so the only true solution is change the rims to the proper size! Before deciding to buy, first always have to try it on the car with the tires you want to use. (btw your tires & rim width are also not a correct match, the rims are a bit too wide for the tires). Only if they really fit properly/clear everything at the front & rear then buy. This is the most common beginner mistakes that people have done when buying rims, just buy based on price and looks without trying it on, simply trusting the sellers who obviously just want to sell/make money from you.

185 with 55 series is really fine with 7JJ, it stretches just a very little. The problem is ET35, as long as u lowered the car a bit, it will kena even with ET38, ET38 kena only when kena really deep hole, but ET35 always kena. Sorry I'm still a newbie, korek me if I'm wrong

QUOTE(thinkthink @ Apr 9 2015, 06:55 PM) change ur suspension to adjustable, sifu am i right? you might had to accept the fact you will get a harsh ride by using coil overs and yet, there's possibility that your tyres will still hit your fender when you were taking passenger at the back or going over uneven road at a speed. To completely solve the problem, still. Change your rims to proper wide (jj) and offset that the engineer had pre-calculated to suite your car.

My Toyota Vios 2010 having this same problem when i change my RIM for the first time 2 year ago. that time i changed to Nismo TE37 without understanding this OFFSET mean. i just simply choose the rim i want, 15" rim suitable for VIOS. after 1 year something (my car already 3 years++ that time). i start to feel this problem already. because the absorber is not that strong anymore after 3 years++ using and i fetch 3 person behind, sometimes fetch few set of PC set. it will hit the fender if the road is up and down. or got bumper. friend used to suggest 2 proper way to solve this. either you get adjustable absorber or change rim. but changing to absorber cost you RM2k but change rim when your tyre is almost the time to change. will cost you extra around RM400+- (if you trade in your old rim) so i choose change my rim back to 6.5JJ even thought i haven change my absorber (1 side start leaking some oil already). it didn't hit fender anymore This post has been edited by 331782880: Apr 30 2015, 04:18 PM

You can always roll fender/relocate fender bolt to clear your rim/tyre setup
