btw~ wanna ask.. if go overseas.. on weekends, would you all swipe the amex or the visa?

i heard amex charge 3% extra for the currency conversion? standard 0.5% + 2.5% from amex?

Overseas I tend to use Amex more, in my experience the exchange rate is better than Visa

Although some did report that this changed somewhat, haven't been abroad much recently so can't confirm!

I did swipe on both Visa and AMEX..
Visa give me better rate than AMEX..

so if got time, go to branch, if not, you have no choice but redeem via phone

Last time I was in HK, Amex was giving me a better rate, has been some time though.

after redeemed voucher left 5k+ TP. Decided to go Baskin Robin to use up the TP which worth RM20 over. I told the staff that I would like to pay with TP. After ordering, the cashier told me the line down. I insist her to keep trying while I'm enjoying the ice cream. After finished the line is still down, then the cashier said nvm and let me eat for free.

Of course not taking advantage over the unfortunate situation, i paid with cash and she gave discount.
