Well, I haven't seen a thread being made with regards to the Honda CRV. If you have any enquiries about the Honda CRV, you can go ahead and make a thread. There's also a technical talk subforum that you can post a thread to ask about your car's technical problems. Do post in the correct forums smile.gif

Guys, i dunno this is good new or bad news but i certainly took it wif a tear cry.gif

My car of almost 3years will be sold off. I received an offer from a Japanese expat for 2X the current market value of my car. shocking.gif Seeing that this offer is too good to back down, I have decided to sell my 1989 BMW E34 525i.

I sold wif a somewhat heavy heart but knew she'll be in good hands. Anyways, the Jap expat has assured me i'll be da first one he'll contact when he'll leave Msia in 2 years time. Yes i can buy back my car later! icon_rolleyes.gif Let's call it temporary separations... (whistling.gif hums to the tune of KRU's Untukmu whistling.gif )

I dunno wat my next ride will be, but im considering an old school 190E Merc, Merc C Class or BMW E36.

Yea, SSR type C. Design may look different due to the size. The spokes look smaller on smaller size rims.

Guys,
I believed this guy has cheated my gf of Rm400 from some tuition job which he agreed to. Then he FFK-ed and should have return the money to me but he didn't. Now me and my gf try to contact him but he kept rejecting calls.

Can someone in the group try to contact him and ask for tutors for primary school kids? If he replies ok then try to meet him in person to pass him the cash money.

And before u go and meet him, call me 1st. Would love to bash this muthatrucker up vmad.gif

Details: 012-3055286 (Eric from tuitionstudio.com)

Company Name: Multi Solutions Enterprise

Also, i'm in the process of trying to track him by asking colleague's old colleagues in maxis and Maybank. Hope to get something soon.

Of cos if this culprit is caught, nice fat rewards awaiting smile.gif

Thanks guys smile.gif

alkt,

Try sms-ing the fella and tell him that if he ain't contacting you soon to return the money, you will be lodging a police report and a letter from your lawyer. See if that shakes him up.

Since he have a bank account with the company name, you should be able to get some information from ROC on the person behind the company(unsure if a police report is required to obtain such information).

Already tough making a living out here in KL and these bastards want to make it worse. grumble.gif

No problems yo wink.gif It's great to see that fella tension tension..

What a long day I had today.. I went to the SC at OKR around 7.30am. I was second in line. I printed one whole list of problem for the SC to sort out, but the first thing to greet me over the counter was "We're not doing any repair work today, only servicing so that we can get more cars done" shakehead.gif When I explained about the brakes issue and that I hope they could get it skimmed/replaced, the fella over the counter keep saying it is due to the ABS ABS ABS dry.gif mad.gif I was quite disappointed especially with the amount of manpower they have there, they were unable to get my problems resolved. I allowed them to just service my car for 25,000km.

Went to a tyre shop nearby to get my wheels rotated, balanced and aligned but was told to wait an hour due to the amount of customers they have doh.gif Straight away went off.

I then drove to another SC that's located at Ampang. Quite a long wait there too but at least they managed to skim my rotors. I was told it's quite bad and if the problem persists again, a new set of rotors had to be ordered blink.gif Cuz quite a lot of skimming was done, there's some freeway when i brake till it really bites. But the joy is when there's no vibration on the steering thumbup.gif

After the skimming, went to another tyre shop at Puchong for the wheel rotation, balancing and alignment. I guess I'll have to wait for after the DeepaRaya holidays to get the rest of my problems solved lor.. but damn happy that finally the brakes are done biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Jackie Leong @ Oct 20 2006, 03:25 PM)

Well, it was indeed a "peaceful" method until that arse took out his PDA and poke poke. Since my gf is there and to be on the safe side, i called the Police seapark. 15 mins later only they reach doh.gif

Nope. Smooth and quite biting. However due to the amount of skimming done, there's a lot of free-play for the pedal.

If the A/F ratio is correct, you are running dangerously lean all the way up to 4000rpm. Your ECU is not making up for your mods. Did Links just give you the dyno chart and never mention anything about running lean?

Coz i'm running out of idea on tires d. Potenza G3 is quite good in dry but wet not that good. BFGoodrich good for dry and wet only for the 1st 20000km, after that is like speedboat in the rain! Toyo Proxes T1R is good in both world from new to the end but wear thread is fast and expensive. No idea about the Falken FK452. Eagle F1 is good in wet but dry is a bit noisy. Now still considering Pilot Preceda II, can get as cheap as RM295 in jln kapar. Hmmmm......... pening! rclxub.gif

I know the sportscontact II is good but much better compare to Pilot Preceda II in wet n dry? If not much might as well getting the PP2 due to it's cheaper price. whistling.gif

No comment bout Preceda's though...I heard got a lot of negative comments about Pilot Preceda's from a lot of people sweat.gif Well I guess you have to look for tyres that are semi-soft compound and the threads are like Eagle F1's. That's the best for you. Kinda agree with beach boy there for a moment. Those Conti's are very quiet and quite grippy too mar thumbup.gif

I might be getting either PP2 or SC2. depending on the price i get from Kee Hin in Old Klang Road. heard from my dad's fren who is an expert in tyres that the michelins are quiet and good while the Eagle F1 i mentioned to him will be noisy next time smile.gif

My small potato car cant fit in AD07 lar. The smallest size for 17inch is 215 width where i only can go for 205. The reason i'm considering Pilot Preceda II is due to it's price i can get in jln kapar, klang. For the same tyre that cost about RM380 per piece from Kee Hin, i can get RM295 in klang. So my question is, how much better is sportscontact2 compare to pilot preceda 2 in dry n wet? if the margin is small but the price gap is so huge, i might as well get the PP2 due to the good deal. Toyo Proxes T1R is very good in wet n dry but wearthread is fast and pricey. sigh............ rclxub.gif

They gave 2 dyno charts though. 1 with engine power, another with wheel power. well they didn't say anything about my car running lean but i think it's running ok now. will ask LG later at nite cos i'm meeting him smile.gif
damn, pupu again. really pity him la sad.gif
*
Well, it's running extremely lean under 4000rpm. Nothing's worse than running lean in the mid range while the turbine is spooling. The optimal A/F ratio for turbos is 12:1. As you can see from your chart you are running very lean under 4000rpm and the ECU over compensate and runs rich. You'd get a much better power band and at least max power up to 6000RPM if the engine wasn't running so rich at the top end. However, the lack of fuel under 4000RPM is worrying.

Of course, with this kind of chart, the engine feels okay and the lean part provides even more power, hence feeling better until you get a hole in your piston.

Since you can get Pilot Preceda's with that price, it's worth a try man smile.gif I think that tyre also quite good la...I've seen a few high performance cars using that tyre. Mostly turbo Volvo's, BMW's, Merc and Audi's cool.gif

I've asked LG about the charts and he said its fine for earlier revs cos later in the rev it'll run rich so shouldn't be a problem smile.gif

most cars will have the orange peel look to the paintjob.. you'll have to send it to those professional car detailers to make it look flawless tongue.gif usually requires sanding work as well brows.gif

yeah, but even new cars would have the orange peel effect.. i wouldn't be able to testify over paintjobs done outside cuz the price varies to the amount of layer, type of paint and the workmanship.. so far, hyundai, honda and perodua that i have at home is having those orange peel effect.. usually the paint that comes with the car is good because it is evenly sprayed by robotic arms..

How to check the alternator? I have no idea on how to bring my car to Honda. Just now can start edy, drove until Projet to isi minyak. Then cannot start again doh.gif
*
get the multimeter
put at ur battery there
see the voltage

then start the car
test the voltage again

see if it's above 13.5V lidat
if it's still 12.xV
means the alternator is at fault

mine oso start calculating the number of dents liao.. the front skirt, bumper, bonnet can see stone chips.. haha shakehead.gif

edit: a rather automotive related news is that.. early morning i got up to help my dad change the punctured tire off my mum's accent.. after that my mum went to the tire shop to get it patched, but upon inspection by the tire shop guys, it seems that the side-wall of the tire was torn up.. (i didn't actually notice that this morning sweat.gif , maybe not very major but just can't be patched?)

so the a new tire was bought.. odd that the tire fellas didn't recommend changing both sides for a much even wear unsure.gif total damage was RM178 for the same stupid ducaro ga + balancing + patching one of the rear tires found with 4 nails o.O

i wonder what my sister/mum did with the car la.. aiyjoo! shakehead.gif

Our tailo say the Eagle F1 is very grippy on dry as well. If his monster oso he say good then it must be more than enough for my puny 1.5 hamster in dry condition. I'm more concern about wet though. It's not funny to lose traction in the wet. unsure.gif

Pick any top tyres from any manufacturer and they will be good. Unless you are driving at the limit with tyres screeching on every corner, there is very little difference between any of them. However, if you try to compare their second best performance tyres, then yes, there would be a difference between their second best performer and their top performer (you can't have your second best just as good as your best, otherwise how are they going to market their best tyre?).

1st, 19inch means running on lower profile tires, super low profile in fact for malaysian roads and pot holes. Another main problem will be comfort. And not to forget 19inch tires and rims are even more expensive if you consider 18inch oredi expensive. Heck, even supercars like porsche or ferrari still at 18inch mar. tongue.gif

I'm not really sure also. RPM still below redline but when the car hits 210kph(around there la), the speed meter bounces and my RPM drop like not enough fuel. A few seconds after the drop, the car feels normal again unsure.gif

Mine show's 260km/h and also will never reach. The only ones who can finish their meters are the JDM cars who has removed their speedlimiter and go above the 180km/h on the speedo.

Speedo's are always built with more range than what the car can do, to factor in the average of 5-10% over-reading of the speedo at over 200km/h and also to indicate any speed over max if an idiot tries to test their topspeed down a 30 degree decline.. in which he/she would be able to tell how fast he/she is going before crashing out.

There's only 2 types of speedlimiters, JDM at 180km/h to comply with Japanese regulations and the European 250km/h to comply with the Euro "Gentlemen's agreement'. Cars not sold in those areas do not have speedcuts.

If you have a cut anywhere else, then it's fuel starvation.

Theirs are not the same as the Japanese, where the gov controls the regulations. The European ones are 'gentlemen's agreement' between the manufacturers that they will not try to kill their customers while competing with each other to see who can make the fastest car, so they agree to install speedlimiters on their cars. However, not all European car makers are in this 'gentlemen's agreement'.

err guys, just wanna ask some opinion, check on the jpj website about car plate transfer. (sounds like its ok)

Anyway here is the situation

Car 1 (Around 15 year old car, time to sell, but before sell wanna transfer the plate number to existing car)

Car 2 (The car jsut 1 year old)

So it is possible to transfer from Car 1 to Car 2 right?? What happen to Car 2 plate number? It goes to Car 1 rite?? So there shouldn't be any problem with the transfer lo rite? Anyone got experience, maybe can fill me in on some details and price, etc?? I see on the website it need one hell of documents including some approval document on cars, etc....so strange....

Bro,

As far as I know, number plates are only transferrable between an existing registration number plate and new registration number plate. So your swapping between Car 1 and Car 2 is impossible.

If you insist on keeping the plate for Car 1, you'll have to go purchase a new motorbike to do the swap and keep the number plate tongue.gif

Later going to collect my ride from the SC! icon_idea.gif
They got my rotors replaced, so later I'll just gotta pay for new brakepads icon_rolleyes.gif
As for the loud shudders coming from my dashboard, the staff there told me over the phone that some wiring i got done at accessories shop got into the aircon box..

i'm quite dumbfounded cuz I have no idea what wiring.. It's in the middle of the dash, so I don't think it's my EL-Meters.. Most likely to be the wirings from my ICE setup? unsure.gif

The SCs fella said there's a cut-off when we high-rev.. I mean, it's going to be pretty dumb of Honda not to know that we'll definitely gonna go high-revving with the steermatic controls..

for the shudders, it's continuous knocking on the dashboard. Unsure what is causing it. grumble.gif

don't bother purchasing your pc from pc-fair, unless you are into assembling ur pc on ur own.. otherwise might as well go lowyat straight away.. cheaper parking and less crowd and you can get your pc set up on that day as well..

as for the price quoted, it depends what specs you are getting.. i built a cpu without hdd as well for around RM6xx laugh.gif biggrin.gif
