what luck, just got into accident less than 10minutes ago..
i was driving the accent.. location was at the traffic lights turning into OUG in front of Parkson.. the car that was in front of the car in front of mine made a sudden u-turn and the car in front of mine braked, so i made a rather sudden brake unexpectedly as i was making a glimpse at the rear mirror.. and this yellow beetle that was rushing out from the junction in front of Parkson came at a speed to tailgate me and was unable to brake in time, thus banging into my accent.. double signalled, came out and inspected the damage.. surprisingly the rear bumper of my car only has scuff marks whilst his beetle's front bonnet was dented.. since nothing major, i just say it's okay since my car is fine.. wasn't my fault for his damages since he banged into mine anyway.. he asked me why i braked.. isn't it obvious why i brake? purposely brake for him to bang me meh.. deng |

QUOTE(Jackie Leong @ Jan 1 2007, 06:46 PM) what luck, just got into accident less than 10minutes ago.. i recall 5 years ago when i drove my dad's Volvo & accidentally knocked straight into a proton saga/iswara (couldn't remember correclt) at speed around 40km/h... & guess what, the whole front grill + both head lamps were gone while the proton rear bumper only suffered minor scrathes ... i was driving the accent.. location was at the traffic lights turning into OUG in front of Parkson.. the car that was in front of the car in front of mine made a sudden u-turn and the car in front of mine braked, so i made a rather sudden brake unexpectedly as i was making a glimpse at the rear mirror.. and this yellow beetle that was rushing out from the junction in front of Parkson came at a speed to tailgate me and was unable to brake in time, thus banging into my accent.. double signalled, came out and inspected the damage.. surprisingly the rear bumper of my car only has scuff marks whilst his beetle's front bonnet was dented.. since nothing major, i just say it's okay since my car is fine.. wasn't my fault for his damages since he banged into mine anyway.. he asked me why i braked.. isn't it obvious why i brake? purposely brake for him to bang me meh.. deng since then, i usually assume nowadays cars rear bumper is generally higher than their front bumper, thus its no longer "bumper knock bumoer" case anymore... back to ur case... hope everything is all right for u & there will be no "hand tail" to follow up ya... |

err... not exactly...
stationary or not, "rear kisser" tend to suffer greater damage coz the actual impact doesn't happen at his/her front bumper but higher part... usually the grill + head lamp zone... IMHO, i do feel recent vehicle designs the rear bumber too high... |

QUOTE(Beach_Boy(R) @ Jan 3 2007, 06:55 PM) really? i think it still depend on what car bump into what car... some will get more serious than the other... speed will worsen the condition of course...last time i bump into a stationary vios(the vios is NOT supposed to stop there, and i was looking out for oncoming cars, didnt notice the fella i suffered minor scratches the fella's rear lights fall off, bumper cracked, and boot kenot open anymore |

hehe.. since my friend's brother owns a vios.. my friend sometimes drives the vios to college, thus i was able to be a passenger and check it out.. i noticed the trunk lid was rather "thin" to my liking.. kinda flimsy and sheet-metal like =S i'm not trying to bad mouth the car but i was surprised.. not to mention there's only 2 blower selections for the aircond (eg: vent straight, vent straight + downwards, etc)
Gouki, when you wanna TT lar? |
